No medical posts or questions. We are not a medical subreddit, we made this to see cats doing cat stuff. I do not want to see infections and seizures
Thank you

EDIT: Your comments are hilarious. I appreciate you all making me smile. I will post an update soon to show Kirby is okay but rn all she wants is to hang out with her tabby bf and as a Dad I need to respect that š

For context I turned 18 years old in June but I was 17 when we got her. My mom got a cat for my sister (11 years old) for Christmas, but she didnāt do any research whatsoever and had no idea how to take care of a cat. My mom literally hates cats (which is one thing, everyone has their opinions) but I donāt understand why sheād buy one if she hated them, and itās very obvious she hates our cat. My mom wants our house to be spotless and didnāt want her to just be in the house free, so sheās been in a small cage in the corner sense December of 2025 when we got her. At first she at least had a bed, toys, a hammock, a litter box etc, but they took that stuff out not very long after having her, so she literally has nothing, she gets food and water and thatās it. My Grandma who also lives with us also hates her, will literally vacuum near the area with her in the cage when sheās clearly terrified, will clean the cage carelessly with her in it and sheās scared of the cleaning spray, and says awful things about her. I fucking hate it so badly but I donāt know what to do, my mom gets pissed at me so easily for the smallest things and when Iāve brought up what weāre doing with her and how she canāt stay in the cage forever my mom just rushes and conversation and brushes it off like it doesnāt matter at all. Sheās not ājust a catā and I find that phrase so disgusting and disrespectful, sheās a breathing living being and sheās being abused. I donāt know what to do but I know this canāt continue, this isnāt ok.

Isabelle always acts annoyed when the baby tries to love on her. Usually airplane ears, a little swat, or even jumping away, but then I caught her grooming the sleeping kitten.
She immediately said "No, you didn't see that. I would never "

She's 5 months old who has just lost her mom, i came home her eyes are watery and nose runny, she eats a little but she's cornered and refuse to play just sleeping around, btw she sleeps outside in her home, maybe she caught a cold ? Or is she missing her mom.. yesterday she was fine,i also put some Betadine on her face to treat black spots and she licked some

Hello everyone! My boyfriend and I have been debating whether or not my cat has strong british shorthair ancestry. I know for a fact his mama was a small tuxedo. My cat is a pretty big boy (2 yrs old and ~12lbs, maybe even bigger) and about a foot and a half long. He has a double coat and sheds so so much. Iāve attached some pictures! Curious to see what you all think!

To the person who lost/left their cat at the bus stop in the Sequoia forest years ago. The cat survived. She got fixed and she's thriving! š„°
