Ive been looking for a sport touring bike as a beginner to get started, I have an hour commute to work thats all back road twisties but I live in a city and get around there too. Preferably looking for something 600-650cc. Ive been looking at the Honda cbr650r but I feel weight may be a concern as im a relatively underweight girl at 5'11 115lbs. I also have not liked all the potential mods for the cbr650r as the required clutch is nice but locks me out of the desired clear clutch cover mods I like myself. Ive considered at ninja 500 but it doesnt feel right or as enticing to me as the 650r

the Hornet 750- more nimble but lacks off-road capabilities, and
the Transalp-more versatile on both roads but less nimble.

I’ll primarily use the bike for commuting (50 miles) and running errands around town, but I still want the option to ride on some fire roads in the Appalachians.

So I had my Triumph Tiger 800 sport totaled by insurance. My upgrade path is either another Tiger, a ninja 1100 SX, or the GX+. All the reviews I have seen seem to come down pretty hard on the Suzuki. Underwhelming brakes, a small fuel tank, a confusing display.

My biggest selling point is going to be all day comfort. The riding position of the Suzuki looks very similar to the tiger sport, the ninja looks quite a bit more cramped (more traditional sport bike position). In my searches though the ninja is considerably cheaper. I don't know if the GX+ is just a hard to find bike or what, but it comes in at several thousand more in most of my searches.

I will add that the Honda sport tourer looks like the perfect bike for me, but it's not headed to the states anytime soon.

Currently own a Honda Africa Twin and use it mainly for long trips and multi day tours. Thinking of getting an old CBR 900, GSXR 1100, or any UJM from that era, for the sole purpose of owning something fast, but also with character of a carb engine. Not particularly interested in setting new lap records or scrapping footpegs in the canyons, just fun Sunday rides and smell of gasoline. Any particular thoughts on specific models or tips in general for bikes of that genre?

Hi everyone I am thinking to buy a r15 , can afford a new one but I'm getting a old one at 60k can bargain it to max 55k . If I am thinking to buy this what are things or repairs that I need to consider especially engine rebuilding or tappet checkup

Anyone have experience with a low maintenance, reliable cruiser they’d suggest I look into?

I’ve been looking at the Vulcan S which seems great, lightweight, and fairly reliable but standard chain maintenance. Honda shadows are appealing to me because of the shaft drive. Indian scout is pretty cool too and belts are nice… shopping around

Hello, so I’m getting my OPEN license soon and wanting to ask what bike you recommend, I like sports bike around 650-1000cc ( idk if 1000cc ) is good to start. My budget is around 8-10k :) it doesn’t have to be new or stuff like that I thought of an R6 maybe

I currently ride cb650r and i love naked bikes. However, after testing the tenere 700 recently, i really liked riding a taller bike. I don't do travelling so i'm planning to use it for spirited sunday rides for fun. I am considering the suzuki gsxs1000gx or the bmw s1000xr but i wonder if these bikes would be suitable for my riding style. I felt more comfortable with a taller bike since i'm 187cm tall. I'm also considering to put sporty accesories like short windshield, bar end mirrors etc to achieve a similar look to the m1000xr

Been heavily considering either the Yamaha MT-07 or the Honda Rebel 500. Really torn whether I want a Naked, or cruiser style bike. Honestly maybe I want a sport, thats why I'm here. Im figuring the Naked is a good middle ground.

Absolutely, totally open to other suggestions of naked bikes (heard of the Honda CB500x, Kawasaki Z650) Aesthetics are a huge deal to me, I need to be in love with what im riding and I love the MT-07 and Honda Rebel look. My concern with the Rebel is I'm gonna want to be sporty sometimes, and thats pretty much just a cruiser. Gonna be riding around town to gym and work, for fun up and down with friends, and occasional 1-1.5 hour trips to another city. 5'9" 185lb gym guy.

I would like to ask everyone for advice on what you believe I should invest in. Background: I commute 67 miles from the inland empire to Long Beach for work. My current commute is in a Honda CRV and I have felt the hurt with the gas and maintenance costs; but more importantly with the time I’m spending on the road. I’m looking to ride in order to cut my two hour drive home down. What would y’all suggest? It would mostly be highway, 210-605/57-405

Just got my permit yesterday and I’m scheduling my msf course soon. I like the idea of both bikes, always loved the inline 4 scream but I also see the practicality in the low down torque. I’m good with the body positioning for either bike. For having no experience what is the better option?

Hey yall. I'm trying to narrow down a bike choice.

I'm currently town between an mt07, some kind of cruiser or an adventure bike. I live in Washington now but when I lived in az I picked up an 88 shadow 1100 for super cheap. Fixed her up and rode a bit. Had to sell her to move to washington tho. (It was her or my dog. Chose my doggo)

I liked being able to get to highway speeds quickly and that longer distance trips were fairly comfortable but the bike felt like alot...idk how to explain it.

I'm 6ft 4, I have some experience with dirt bikes when I was younger and the cruiser previously mentioned...but I like naked bikes. I'm just not sure if I can fit on them comfortably and if I should just go for a cruiser again or an adventure bike.

Anyway, any advice or suggestions I'm all ears.

Looking to buy my first bike. Just took the BRC course last month, so am very new. I am looking for something low power (250-400cc) to learn on for the next year or two before selling.

Is this 07 Honda Rebel with 12k miles worth it? Seller is asking $2.1k (USD), which I think is fair. I test rode it yesterday and it handles well, is very comfortable for my body type and is in really good condition.

So i am 20 years old i have no riding experience yet and i am looking for my first bike i am 5'11 and 240, my left ankle is not that good i have very limited movement with it and after working 10 hours shifts i cant really walk to well on it i have a limp depending on the time of day and i want some opinions on what yall think.

I am looking to buy my first motorcycle. I have road motorcycle and dirtbikes a few times. My plan is to do a 1400 mile round trip ride. For deer hunting. I am 5 foot 3. I want to pull a little trailer behind it for a cooler and bow. Are there anything other than a gold wing out there thats could pull the trailer? I am a little worried about the weight and size of a goldwing. I have not sat on one yet but hear they are heavy. Any suggestions are helpful thank you!

I am a new rider and most recently the bike i was riding on a chinesse naked bike, after multiple crashes and many long rides finaly gave in. I have the A1 license so i can only get a 125cc moto.

I was looking at multiple motorcycles but now only want non-chinnese bikes afther so many bad experiences with it.

The moto that sparked my attention was the Yamaha WR 125 X or R

I found a second hand posting that seems interesting its a YAMAHA WR 125 X 2012. Its got 61k kilometres already but only 600 km after replacing the entire engine internals. Every other main thing like the brake pads, tyres have also been replaced.

I feel like this could be a good choice but only the high mileage really scares me. so i ask

What is your experience with this moto? What do you think of it?
Do you think the miles are too much?
