Hi I am an Antispin player who's on a strict budget. I am using a Butterfly Gergely blade, some of the antispin rubbers I used were Spinlord Gigant which I found too slow and then switching to Yasaka Antipower and finding it too grippy should I go with Spinlord Gigant 2 or Nittaku Best Anti?

It's recently come to my attention that there exists such a thing as long pips paddles and not only that they are legal in tournament play?? So I immediately got online to buy one and much to my surprise can't find one anywhere even after exhaustive Googling.

Where can I buy a long pips paddle?

Haha guys, I’m back! This time I’ve got my forehand‑mistake compilation, please feel free to give me some pointers.

From watching the video, I noticed I keep landing on the heel of my right foot. I believe I should be on the ball of my foot instead. Are there any good drills for this? Also, please keep an eye on my forehand swing path.

I’m looking for a first paddle + rubbers recommendation. I’m a beginner looking for:

a paddle good to consolidate the fundamentals, long lasting both quality wise and not something that I will outgrow in less than a year.

Please advice on glue too, this will be my first build.

I’ll be playing at the club twice a week and doing trills at home.

Let me know if there are tools, products, or practices that I should keep an eye on to ensure I take proper care of it.

Hi everyone, I’m a beginner and I’m still not sure what my natural playing style will be. I’m not changing equipment because of a specific problem; I’m choosing my first proper setup and want to prioritize control and learning fundamentals.

My initial all-round/learning setup is:

• Sanwei M8, FL handle
• Yinhe 9000D, red, medium sponge
• Yinhe 9000E, black, medium sponge

Later, I would like to experiment with two different styles:

Offensive, intermediate/advanced:

• Sanwei Fextra 7, FL
• DHS Hurricane 3 NEO, red, 39°, 2.15 mm
• Yinhe Moon, black, medium, 2.1 mm

Modern defensive:

• Yinhe 980, FL
• Sanwei Target Europe Soft, red, around 1.8 mm
• Yinhe Neptune, black long pips, around 0.5 mm sponge

I can source Chinese equipment through platforms such as 1688, Alibaba or Chinese retailers. Does this look like a sensible progression, or would you change any of the blades or rubbers? Are either of the future setups too advanced or poorly matched?

I've seen many pimple-out rubbers (short pips, long pips, and all that), and usually they'll have either vertical or horizontal alignment. I'm confident they do have their differences, but I'm not sure exactly what the advantages/disadvantages of both alignments are.

I use Tibhar Stratus Powerwood and Tenergy05 on backhand. Very close to the tanle playstyle.

The other day I used a friends setup- Joola Trinity Vyzaryz blade with Tronix ACC and Tronix CMD rubbers.

- CMD felt too soft and slow for the swing speed.

- ACC was harder and grippier with more dwell time than T05.

Also with the blade combination with ACC it felt like i could go with a longer swing at higher swing speed and the ball would still land safely on the table with good amount of spin. The feeling/feedback was kind of muted though. Not sure its because of the specific carbon it uses or just me being accustomed to allwood blade.

Question-

Does Joola offer anything similar to Tenergy05. And even better, a blade similar to Tibhar Stratus Powerwood in terms of characteristics and feel ??

I am a tall guy 187 cm/6'1 and If you have any tips for me how to improve my game , because recently I recorded myself and I saw that most of the time I stand very straight and that sabotages my stability. Also my opponents often give their shots on my middle , which is very uncomfortable. Thank you in advance

I am new to today's table tennis, and hear some people are replacing their rubbers every 3 months or so? I mean rubbers are not cheap! How often do I need to replace my rubbers as an amateur club player, playing twice a week?

I’ve been playing table tennis for 20 years now (several years long breaks in between). My game is primarily an attack style with a strong emphasis on the forehand. Over the years, along with weight lifting, I’ve developed bad arthritis in my right shoulder (confirmed via MRI). I’m only 38 so not good. Doctors can’t do much aside from prescribe pain pills which I’m not fond on taking too often.

The pain is to the point where it’s affecting my game and ability to use my forehand loop. Once I’m warmed up it’s ok, but if I sit for a while in between matches or take a break during training, it stiffens up badly and prevents me from using my forehand like I would like.

Has anyone handled a situation like this? Any remedies or advice on how to proceed? My coach has suggested I switch to a more defensive style but after playing for so many years, switching styles now will be difficult.

Hi all! Me and my girlfriend just picked the sport back up after years of not playing we’ve been playing pretty consistently at local bars and just joined the local club. I have advanced a bit quicker than my girlfriend,

I’m now looking at my first custom paddle and would like any input anyone can provide me or suggestions/ better options than what I currently have.

I am an intermediate player I would say I’m an all around player I find my self liking to utilize spin I have a side spin serve that I am proud of and have gotten pretty good at snake shots. I think against good player I like to play a little defensive with the opportunity to punish attackers

(Edit) I can struggle with fast placed or heavy spin backhand defensive returns

This is the setup I have picked out for right now. I have just started experimenting with a pimple rubber and like to have a pimple rubber for defense. Correct me if I am wrong but the pimple rubbers help defend against heavy spin.

So my thoughts are have the razka 7 for a forehand rubber for a faster more spin offense rubber.

And either a softer more control based backhand, or a pimple rubber for a defense rubber. Any suggestions, tips, knowledge and experience is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!!

I bought a Loki Arthur Diamond Europe out of curiosity, is really good, I specially like the grippy topsheet, but I feel like the sponge is a little hard, I'm reading the description and it says Chinese 37, which seems soft enough for backhand, but the sponge for me feels a little cakey, like not fully chinese but not like it has the ESN rebound, maybe japanese like is the way to describe it, my question is, has anyone try boosting a Loki AED, what was their experience afterwards?
