Beside them believing russia propaganda, it feels more like some european politician also enabled putin or had a good relation with him (chirac in france per example or sarkozy converting to being pro russia and germany also has its share of pro russian politician), france and germany were also opposed to ukraine and georgia joining nato so if nato goal was to expand to russia borders like pro putin claim then nato could've done it sooner and before crimea got annexed too . I also find the "boris ended peace negociation" take weird because why would ukrainian keep negociating after they discovered bucha per example or russia kept demanding too much.

This is an idea that has been around in my head for some time, and I want to explore whether in this hypothetical scenario, they will collaborate, resist, or stay on the sidelines.

Suppose one of their champions (herein will be refered to as country A) starts a conflict with their country (country B); country B receives Western support regardless if the support is cynical. Meanwhile, campists blame the West or their government's pro-Western alignment for causing the war while other sections of country B's society increasingly view the West as their savior.

Things get very ugly within hours and days as reports of atrocities committed by country A spread. Now, what should the campists do? Deny, excuse or justify them? It sounds like they have betrayed their nation in favor of the invader which would result more campist polarization as the ones who hate country A become more pro-West, alienating the campists and making them, in lack of better terms, more insane.

Some of them may stay on the sidelines to avoid accusations of treason while others become indistinguishable to figures like Philippe Pétain and Vidkun Quisling. How should they justify the occupation of their country as country A imposses a brutal occupation regime? How should they argue that peace with the invader will be better than resisting? How should they convince their fellow citizens that the war is the West or their government's fault without sounding like a collaborationist? These questions shake them because unfortunately, they have to swallow the fact that they are betraying their nation.

Eventually, a few may abandon campism, but this can backfire to inversion where they defend the West instead and every atrocity committed or sponsored by Western or Western-aligned countries. If the latter happens, nothing fundamentally changes but the geopolitical alignment, or in Peanuts terms, they have swapped their sweet babboo.

For those who remain campists, they are increasingly being told by Western campists that they are actually right, their compatriots are idiots, and that the invader is actually the liberator. However, this is not guaranteed as those same Western campists may instead collectively condemn them as Völkerabfälle, where they are told they deserve the invasion because of the actions of their government or its pro-Western alignment. The more they hear they are nothing more than "hereditary reactionaries," the more they become disillusioned from campism, but more so to socialism because if Western campists are the only people who self-identify as socialists they interact with, they become to assume that every socialist is an anti-Western collaborationist, only turning them toward pro-Western campism and worse, open reactionism.

It is a very bleak situation because when nuance and critical thinking must be cast aside to camp loyalty, nothing can be solved towards liberation and justice. The state wins again. Now, to answer the original question, the ones remaining campists will collaborate with the invader that could range from open, direct collaboration to just narrative peddling. Meanwhile, those disillusioned with defending anti-Western states are more likely to embrace contrarianism to the point of defending the West.

This is something I notice whenever the debate over banning pro russian propagandist pop up, there's always someone saying they're just saying a different opinion, when if one is repeating words for words the kremlin narrative, no it's not just a different opinion, it is helping russia colonizing ukraine and justifying it , in the case of federova per example, she wasn't just criticizing ukraine in good faith, she was a pro russian propagandist . Also, I don't think freedom of speech automatically mean it's ok to disinform other without being at least contradicted, if one want to interview lavrov , then provide a counter point of view, not just his.

here in Europe where fascist clowns have been running around and gaining an uncomfortably large amount of votes and support, an understandable amount of discussion on what causes have been and what should be done to stop far right ghouls from gaining power.

I’ve seen people on the internetpoint out several reasons for the far right gaining power, some are social and underlying causes of neoliberalism slowly eroding everything good about our society and fueling every bigotry imaginable. On the one hand, a widening wealth gap allows far right billionaires that control our media (and oppurtunists who see money in peddling fascist talking points) to exploit long simmering anger at REAL PROBLEMS, like inequality, fewer and worse jobs, alongside made up fear mongering about brown muslims. Neoliberalism erodes welfare, which makes life for the poor and lower income people even harder. (who are vulnerable to the far right).

Privatisation incentivized cutting costs and efficiently, leading to factory jobs and those in industry to be moved overseas, further moving most people from stable jobs into unstable (and *unionized*) service jobs. Now it’s the early 2010s in Europe right after the financial crisis and everybody is trying to make sense of how to fix what was unregulated banking’s unending greed, and then came the fucking refugee crisis!. All problems lying underneath our society burst forth, low wages, job competition (race to the bottom), and xenophobia.

I’ve seen people claiming that the left or leftist governments somehow caused the far right by not restricting immigration enough and that people wouldn’t vote for the far right, since the far right is know as being a political ideology of logic and reason. Rhetoric like this really pisses me off since they’re in principle, just conceding to far right demands and hoping, nay praying that fascists won’t find another enemy to attack or make up one.

Also, many refugee rates in european countries have reach historic lows, like Germany! yet the far right still proliferates. Denmark did so, and the far right (collectively among several parties) there has nearly 20 percent! which is almost the same as our far right party here in sweden, where we accepted far more refugees (and apparently where society collapsed according to social media??).

To summarize: The far right doesn’t care about how many immigrants or refugees there are, because they are hateful people who Despise seeing even one, and don’t care about data or statistics like some naively believe. Neoliberalism and a horrible job market has made our lives worse, destroying our welfare system, fueling wealth inequality, and fueling support to neo-feudalist billionaire ghouls. THEY are at fault, not the Jews or the immigrants and refugees!

My favourite argument against the existence of anti semitism in tankie spaces is that that’s actually not possible because Palestinians are the real semities while Israelis and Jews by extension are just white Europeans.
