Tech/AI scene in Tbilisi- who should I meet

Iโ€™m coming to Tbilisi from Geneva next week for a few days and Iโ€™d like to get a feel for the local tech scene.
Mostly curious about

Incubators, accelerators or tech spaces worth walking into.

Any AI or dev studios / startups in Tbilisi doing interesting work that a visiting founder could reach out to?

Meetups or events happening in the next 10 days. Thanks

๐Ÿšจ URGENT!! PLEASE HELP: Tbilisi โ†’ UAE

Hi everyone, Iโ€™m reaching out again because Iโ€™m desperately trying to find someone travelling from Tbilisi to the UAE soon who could help me bring the blood serum samples from my dogs with them.

Iโ€™m currently out of the country, while my dogs are in Tbilisi with a friend, and I urgently need to get these samples to the UAE. Iโ€™m really struggling to find a way to transport them, so Iโ€™m hoping someone here might be able to help.

The samples will be collected and prepared by a veterinarian, properly sealed, packaged, refrigerated, and accompanied by all the necessary documentation.

Everything will be prepared according to the requirements of the laboratory and airline. You would simply need to carry them during your journey and hand them over to me once you arrive in the UAE.

I completely understand that carrying blood serum samples may sound concerning, and Iโ€™m more than happy to provide all documentation and details beforehand so you can be fully comfortable with what youโ€™re carrying.

Iโ€™m also more than willing to compensate you for your time and inconvenience. ๐Ÿ™

If you are travelling from Tbilisi to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, or anywhere else in the UAE in the coming days/weeks, PLEASE DM me. Even if you know someone who is travelling, I would be incredibly grateful if you could pass this on to them.

Iโ€™m genuinely running out of options and really need someoneโ€™s help with this. If you have any leads at all, even if youโ€™re not travelling yourself, please let me know.

Thank you so, so much to anyone who can help or share this. ๐Ÿ™

Anyone going to Stockton Invites Annual Music Festival on September 5th?

Hey everyone! Me and my two friends are going to the stockton invites Annual Music Festival on September 5th. We went to the pre-party on August 28th and the show was honestly really good, but we felt a little lonely and left out since weโ€™re foreigners and donโ€™t really know many people here.
So we were wondering if thereโ€™s anyone else going who we could join up with and hang out with during the festival. Weโ€™re just three friends looking to meet some cool people and have a good time together!

Tbilisi without tourist traps

I'm in Tbilisi right now and want to avoid tourist traps. I had dinner at Balcony โ„–12 since it seemed to attract more locals. My colleague has a knack for overpaying, so I'm trying to avoid that. Any recommendations for reasonably priced places around that area or in Old Tbilisi for the next few days?

โ€‹Looking for: Fair prices, good vegetable options (no walnuts, but steamed stuff), chicken, solid food, and more of a local vibe.

Ideas for help

Hey everyone,

Me and my wife decided to try moving to Tbilisi for (at least) a couple years in January 2027 and see what Tbilisi and Georgia might have to offer to a mid-aged couple.

We are both in our mid-thirties (saying so for the neighborhood ideas) and would very much prefer a quiet local scene and NOT A touristy - urban vibe. I hold a humanities PhD and she has an M.A, and our work requires silence for research, so a noisy area would not be our choice. My ancestors are part Georgian, so I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll have difficulties in adapting to the culture. Any ideas regarding the neighborhoods to rent long term (preferably 2 years). We both have remote jobs, but are considering English-speaking academia to contribute to Georgian culture as well. Initially, our budget would be about 500 USD per month. We also have a mid-sized shelter rescue dog.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Anyone in Tbilisi Interested in Street Photography or Photo Walks?

Iโ€™ll be travelling back to Tbilisi from mid-October to mid-November for a photography trip. Iโ€™ll be exploring the city, discovering new places and spending plenty of time doing street photography. If anyone would like to join me for a photo walk, or has any recommendations for interesting places to explore and photograph, Iโ€™d love to hear them!

question about rents in tbilisi for a student

hey, my University classes will start from October, and i was searching for a place to stay. while i do have a hostel kind of thing for 250$ (meals included), i am still looking for someplace cheap, like 150-200$ per month and near my university (caucasus international university).

i have done my research in various websites like ss.ge, myhome.ge and korter but i am confused if they are safe or not.

i have been overthinking on this matter, should i leave it as it is and do my research after going there or is there any other alternative?

thank you :)

Cyberpunk Red

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hey there!

I want to GM a TTRPG "Cyberpunk Red" short adventure for a group of people with possible continuation as a campaign.

Ever dreamt of trying on the world of Cyberpunk? Like "dark future" theme? Played the videogame but wanted more of it? High tech, low life? Then let's dive into that together! We'll have the adventure set in Night City, year 2045 ("The Time of the Red"). Gang wars, corporate greed, but, still, some place for human things in an inhumane time.

Everyone from complete newbies to experienced players is welcome. I'll help you with the character creation or will provide pre-generated characters for you.

A word of warning: this is going to be a game about DARK future. I promise you, nothing way too explicit, but this will probably be a story typical for the Cyberpunk setting: betrayals, shootouts, difficult choices.

References for the game: "Cyberpunk 2077", "Deus Ex", "Dishonored" and anime "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners".

Language: English.
How often: once a week.
When: Monday - Friday - any day, any time, whatever works for everyone.
Number of sessions: around 4-5.
Session length: 3 hrs.
Where: I can host at my house (cause I use a TV for VTT) or we can figure it out with whoever joins.
Price: 50 gel per person.
System: Cyberpunk RED.
Setting: Cyberpunk.

"Night City's my home. It might be the biggest hell hole this side of the Sierra Nevada but there's a spark here that I ainโ€™t found anywhere else. And the people? Hoo-boy, the people are somethin'. Not sure what, but they're somethin'. It's like livin' in a hurricane. You go with the flow and see where the storm takes you. Just try not to get ripped up on the way."

About me: I've been DMing games for about 7 years. I run "D&D 5e (2014)", "Blades in the Dark" and, currently, "Cyberpunk RED". At my games the players are the center of the story and I am their biggest fan at the table. I always reward curiosity, quick and creative thinking and let the players build the story that they want.

If you're interested or have any questions about the adventure, please, feel free to pm me here or in TG: engKiro

Iโ€™m looking to get into doing nails professionally and would love some advice from people already working here. Where did you train, how did you get your first job, and are there salons that train beginners before hiring?

Also curious about the usual pay/commission and how easy it is to find clients here. Any advice is appreciated ๐Ÿฉท

I HATE MAGTI

I'm really tired of sudden internet loses. Every time we have electricity outage, even for a split minute, after it's back, internet is not. And each time I have to wait up to 20 hours for it to get back. Today, at morning for no reason, there were no electricity outages, internet just went down. And I still have no stable internet in my flat.

We called the support services several times but every time they just tell us that request for our address was already made and we have to wait. I don't get it why does this happens? What exactly did they do in their infrastructure that it can't handle a simple power outage and restore the connection by itself when it will power up back.

I could close my eyes on it if that did not happen like 4 times per month. Each month. My work requires good stable internet connection and those troubles pisses me off

Journalist here: Looking to talk to young Georgians (18-35) who've emigrated in the last 10 years, about why you left and how it has gone

Hello, I'm a journalist working on an article for AnewZ, an international news outlet, about โ€˜youngโ€™ Georgians leaving the country, looking at how the political and economic landscape has shaped people's decisions.

Iโ€™m keen to talk to Georgians (around 35 and under) whoโ€™ve emigrated in the last 10 years about why you left, how the move went, and how you see things going forward.

A quick call on Whatsapp or equivalent would be great โ€” happy to keep it anonymous if you'd prefer, though named and pictured is ideal if you're comfortable with that. If happy to speak, message me here and I can give my name/number/email (not allowed to in the post). Thanks.

Question about rent

Hey guys. I wanted to ask about how you find places for long term rent in Tbilisi. I've been living in the Netherlands for past 2 years, so it's a touchy subject here :)

Can someone please give an advice about some websites for rent or any other way? And how not to get scammed as well, lol.

Thank you very much, and wish you a pleasant day.

Parking police?

Urgent help needed. We live along a main road and have an electric car. The charger is in our garage. Frequently people block our garage.
What is the number to notify the parking police? I know they will send an sms instantly to the car owner.
Thanks for your help
