You do not need to identify yourself personally or your branch or location, just say something that lets us know your request is valid.

For now, we're only planning on a general 'Employee' flair text, but if you want a special designation of your job field, we may be able to do that.

Do I need to fill out a deposit slip for a check?

I don't deposit paper checks often at the bank and wanted to know if I need to fill out a deposit slip or if I can just hand them my TD Bank debit card to pull up my accounts.

TD Wealth Account

I opened an account about 6 months ago after receiving an inheritance. It's less than 200k. Of course my balance changes daily with the markets. At one point I had $3,000 less than what I started with and sometimes I'm $2000 ahead. At best my return is 1.5% so far. But when I asked my financial advisor about taking some money from it I just seem to get the runaround in a bunch of no answers. I am retired, I have other sources of cash. I enjoy a little five or six day vacation every other month someplace. That's my extravagance. He said things like maybe I shouldn't take a vacation and I should take money from my CDs if I needed cash. My CDs pay almost 4%. My wealth account is only paying 1.5%. I'm really only looking to take 10K or 15K from this and leave the rest and probably not even look at it for another year. But I feel that my money is being held hostage somehow. So how do I get my money? I dare not go to another Branch or even call TD Bank corporate to ask questions because I feel it would come back to him somehow. I do have another bank with savings checking and CDs so I may just go to them and ask them what is going on with my account at TD? I somehow feel I made some type of mistake but don't understand the mistake I made.

TD Bank Not Paying Account Opening Bonus

I had opened a checking and saving account in TD Bank and made the required $10K deposit in the saving account. That was at the end of Jan 2026. I am still waiting to get the additional $200 bonus account opening bonus. Even contacting their customer service via the website in my account is past 3-4 weeks now. This is very poor customer service.

Browser requires app login

Every time I try to do banking on my PC through a browser: Firefox or Chrome, it makes me log into the app on my phone to confirm. Not a 6 digit code, not no option to verify through email.
It is annoying because sometimes the app does not work properly on my phone and that is WHY I was using the PC. Plus its a bunch of extra steps to go onto the app on my phone.
It never remembers the PC either, just everytime, login using the app.

God forbid I lose my phone or it dies I would be unable to do ANY banking online.

TD Cross Border Banking - 1+ month in and still not setup

A lot of people online said this was the best setup for cross-border banking and to pay bills on the US side. My experience so far indicates otherwise.

I am over 1 month into the process - I went to a TD branch in the US and filled out the W8-BEN form, gave them all my documents. They told me they would not issue a debit card at the time. Then I had to call the Canadian side to link the accounts, and the Canadian side said the debit card will come after 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I receive a letter from their US department saying they could not verify my W-8 form and I need to fill another one, which can only be mailed in or faxed in, not submitted online. I fill out the form, again, and mail it to the US side.

Over a month later, my accounts are still not linked and I cannot transfer funds between the two accounts. I call the cross border banking number, and they said my request for the US debit card was denied, because they could not confirm I was a cross-border customer, even though I already told the US branch I was. They need to start the linking process again, and wait another 13 business days for the US debit card.

Until then, the two accounts remain unlinked.

Does anyone have this issue with TD Bank?

Hi everyone

I was able to do e-transfer this morning. However, when I used my TD card at store around 1pm today, the machine showed me that my card was stolen or lost. Then, I tried to login to my TD App, but it showed me this message:”We're fixing this, right now.
This part of the TD app is unavailable. Please try again later.”

It’s been many hours now, still can’t login.

I don’t know if there is any outrage or just me.

Odd question, filling out passport info, and they need a TD contact number for employment verification?

I'm checking with my manager to see if I can use his (late, so no answer yet), but can I use the HR one? It doesn't seem to give options for outside parties to verify my employment. Anyone recommend a number I can use in Canada? (Toronto area) 😄

Service Interruption

When I attempt to log on to TD Bank, I would say about 75% of the time I get the following Service Interruption message. I'm on the verge of switching banks, this is so annoying. Can anyone give some insight on what's going on? This has been a problem for several months.

Service Interruption We are currently experiencing systems issues due to an external interruption, support teams are working to restore services as quickly as possible. This is a service interruption issue which we are monitoring closely.

How to pay mortgage after the "new mortgage portal" was released?

"Your new mortgage portal is coming on August 14, 2026!"

All I know is that all evidence of a mortgage existing has been wiped from my online banking portal and I have no idea what to do.

"""

As part of this change, we've given you a new loan number. During the transition, your current loan will show a $0.00 balance but is not considered paid in full. Both loan numbers will be visible temporarily, and the old one will be removed in September, 2026.

Other changes to keep in mind:

  • Beginning August 1, 2026 your loan balance and payment details may be temporarily unavailable
  • On August 14, 2026, your access will be restored and going forward you'll be able to view statements and payment history tied to your new loan number

"""

I never saw a 0 balance or two loan numbers. Just my mortgage disappearing from everything immediately way before September. Is anyone else experiencing this or know what to do?

Cash Card replacements not available in branch anymore.

I have a business account with TD. I had misplaced my cash card by mistake. I went in to get a new one. You can no longer get one immediately in the Branch. It takes SEVEN DAYS!!!!!

You want it sooner........pay $over $30. I need my card for transaction daily. I can't do Apple Pay for some things. This is a disaster. The policy is a joke. My search for a new bank starts TODAY.

It is a Shame. They used to offer great customer service.

Seeking NC Construction-Lending Attorney

Seeking NC Construction-Lending Attorney

I’m looking for an experienced, aggressive construction-lending attorney in Charlotte, NC to evaluate a dispute with TD Bank. TD approved and funded my new-construction loan for about a year, then stopped funding in January 2026 after determining the loan had been incorrectly classified. TD has acknowledged the mistake in writing. The funding interruption delayed construction for months, contributed to my GC leaving the project, and caused significant additional rent, loan, construction, and carrying costs. I have documentation supporting the loan terms, TD’s error, communications, and resulting damages. I’m looking for counsel willing to take on a major bank and pursue the maximum recovery supported by the facts. Referrals to attorneys experienced in construction lending/banking disputes are appreciated. Location Charlotte NC

Td interac limites

Hello!

Has anyone successfully increased their TD Interac e-Transfer limit above $50K/month?

I’m wondering how the process worked for you. Did TD ask for additional information or documentation? Did they require any specific conditions, such as a certain account history, income, or transaction pattern?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually gone through the process. Thanks!

Locked out

I'm stranded in Vancouver. And I was asking friends to help get my 300 dollars to get back home. And then tonight, I went to a Spring Financial website to ask for a loan.

When I put in my 16 digit card number and my password, TD IMMEDIATELY locked my account and sent me notification by email and text.

Ok. I appreciate TD making sure my account is safe.

But when I called TD they said I need to specifically have a Driver's licence or a passport to verify me.

I said I'm disabled so I can't drive. And I'm on disability so I can't afford to leave the country. But I have my Alberta Government issued ID. Looks exactly like a driver's license, just doesn't allow me to drive.

So they can't verify me on the phone. I cannot access my account. I have no money for transit or Uber or taxi. I'm disabled and will have to walk 5.7 KM tomorrow to get to a TD branch.

I'm not asking for money at all. And even if I wanted to, money can't even be put into my account. So don't think I'm panhandling.

Im just sick it TD. My card is still good. There were no fraudulent charges. No one hacked into my account. And I can verify who I am with all the information on the account. Name. Address, phone number (for 1 time passcode) I can tell off the top of my head my balance. My last purchase, my last 6 deposits into my account.

But because I don't drive or have a passport, I have to get to a branch. When I'm disabled and have no money for transit or taxi.

TD is horrible.

small business account frozen after two days

so i just went into the branch a couple days ago to open my small business account with td, everything was going well, had my ein and my business certificate and all my personal document for my sole proprietorship. then they print out the form to say does all this look good and i’m like, no the ein is where my social should be and my social is where the ein should be. long story short, after 2.5 hours they come up with a "fix" for the problem.

next day i go make my first deposit and now today, it’s showing that i have no money and when i called they said my account is frozen. here’s the kicker. it’s cause the ein and social don’t match. does anyone know what to do from here because i am at such a loss. i just started my business and have bills to pay and now my account is frozen because they made an oopsie on my application.

My friend deposited his personal check in Td Bank Vaughan Branch, and when I visited Td nearby branch to make a draft to cover some my debit balance they said its 3 days hold, Banks are reporting 3 billion dollar profits every quarter but they so greedy to avail funds for : days, same bank same computer they have access on signature but wanted to play with your money so disgusting, I remember I was in Citibank Pakistan 50 years before any check deposited even for other banks funds will be available next for same bank branch right away. The bank senior management should take a note to before its spoil their image, The banking regulatory body should advise the bank they should be unfair with consumer

Title: TD joint account – $16,000 transferred to co-signer’s personal account without my knowledge. What are my options?

I’m in Alberta and looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with something similar.
In 2021, I opened a TD joint savings account with another person for my sister’s Group of Five sponsorship. I transferred $16,000.92 of my own money from my RBC TFSA into the account for the sponsorship.
I have a TD document dated March 4, 2022, showing the account had $16,000.92 and was listed as “JOINT – ALL TO SIGN.” I also have documents showing the money came from my RBC account.
Recently, because the sponsorship was cancelled, I went to TD to withdraw the money. That is when I discovered that the money had apparently been transferred in 2023 and the joint account was subsequently closed.
I went to the bank with the co-signer. TD told both of us that the money had been transferred from the joint account into the co-signer’s personal TD account. TD showed me documentation related to the transfer. There was also another transaction involving another account that they are still reviewing.
The part I don’t understand is how the money could be transferred and the joint account closed without my knowledge or authorization, especially when my document says “Joint – All to Sign.”
The co-signer said she did not receive the money when the bank manager asked her, and said the money was for her sister’s sponsorship.
TD has opened an investigation and given me a case number. A Customer Care Manager is currently reviewing the complaint, and I have provided/will provide my sponsorship documents and proof showing the source of my money.
My questions are:
Does “Joint – All to Sign” normally mean both account holders must authorize a transfer?
Could one joint holder potentially transfer money online without the other person’s authorization depending on the account setup?
What records should I specifically request from TD to determine how the transfer was authorized?
If TD confirms the transfer did not follow the account signing requirements, would the bank potentially reimburse the funds?
Is there anything else I should be doing while TD’s investigation is ongoing?
I’m not trying to make accusations before the investigation is finished. I just want to understand how this could have happened and what my options are for recovering my money.

Checking account closed?

I opened an account with TD about a week ago because I moved and my primary bank doesn’t have branches in the area. I have been waiting over a week for my new card to be delivered and it has not so I haven’t been able to add funds. I finally just zelled myself 10$ and I received an email from TD confirming it was deposited into my checking account but when I logged in it said I do not have any active accounts. I was just able to access my account two hours ago so I am not sure what could have happened. Has this happened to anyone else?
