TDPS Feedback & Discussion An interview / segment request
David, please do a segment (or a hundred) on any concrete pragmatic plans for protests or peaceful responses being planned should Trump steal the midterms.
No Kings, Indivisible, etc.
Interview the coordinators. Give people some hope that there is some response planned if their ballots are tossed, if ICE shows up at the voting, if a phony state of emergency is declared, or if the administration cries fraud and refuses to swear anyone in or transfer power.
We need this information out there, now. The signs are all there that this administration isn't going to cede power, and people are rightfully scared.
Keep telling them to vote. But also show them there are things they can do if the worst comes to pass.

Thank God for a discussion about something that doesn’t involve Hasan.
I know that we're all hoping that the Democratic party can take back control of the House and Senate.
But I haven't heard much about what blue states/areas are going to do if it's not a landslide? Or worse, what if Republicans maintain control of all branches of our government?
Because if Trump/MAGA remain in control of our entire government after the midterms, things will only get much worse in America.
The only solution I can think of is to stop sending federal taxes, which would likely be the beginning of a cold civil war.

Instead of protests how about concrete ways to help candidates in swing states like fundraising. Door knocking or other ways to encourage people to vote?
The focus should be outside blue safe states and in states with competitive races.

That's historically what the Democratic party/DNC has done and that's what worked to turn Georgia from red to purple
The problem is that the Democratic Party hasn't done much to excite voters or donors.
"RNC: Reported approximately $130 million in cash on hand with zero debt at the end of July 2026.
DNC: Reported about $16 million in cash on hand with roughly $17.9 million in debt, leaving the committee in a net-negative financial position."
That's a pretty scary number considering we're only months away from the midterms.

If Trump executes a putsch, peaceful protests are tantamount to accepting a MAGA dictatorship.

A general strike would be peaceful and likely very impactful.
The problem is organizing it and dealing with people not getting paid when they're already struggling to get by.
But I haven't heard much discussion about what we're collectively going to do if the elections don't go well for Democrats in the midterms.

General strikes work in smaller countries where the entire economy is concentrated in one or several cities. It’s difficult to see an organized general strike in a country as large as the United States.

It just seemed like you were suggesting something beyond a general strike if a putsch is attempted in November.
But if a general strike isn't possible to organize, how would anything larger be organized that doesn't lead to chaos or anarchy?

I don’t believe there will be any organized resistance. If Trump steals the 2026 election, the general reaction in the United States will be apathy and acquiescence.

That's sad, but I tend to agree. We have a contingency plan if that's what happens.
We bought six acres of rural property in the middle of nowhere and plan to build a homestead over the next few years.
If all else fails, we have our passports because I have no desire to live under a dictator.
I think things would only continue to spiral until a some sort of revolt becomes inevitable.

What about a convoy protest like what happened in Canada? Or the Euromaiden protests in Ukraine?
Park a bunch of broke down old cars, tractors, semis and heavy machinery in the downtown streets of major cities, remove the wheels so they can't be towed and have the crowds of protesters swarm in and entrench peacefully.
If they clear one with force, set up five more.
Refuse to leave until the administration bends.

Love this, i’d also say doing it closer to the election is ideal so it stays fresh and keeps its steam
