Warhammer III I'm tired of having to wait 1-2-3 minutes to load a map in warhammer 3 on a SSD. What kind of PC build i need to load it in 15-30 seconds max ?
It's more a technical PC question that a question directly about the game, but if it's off topic I'll remove it.
Anyway being tired of loading times is what stop me from fighting manually battles.

Warhammer III Ku'Gath was the first time I really enjoyed myself in Warhammer 3 - for a short while at least.
I'm not too happy with WH3 and e.g. preferred WH2 by far campaign wise, even thinking it's far below Shogun 2, ToB, Pharaoh and 3K, but even I can't lie that the unit variety is a great pull. And since release I had never touched Nurgle because goddamn are these guys ugly. But, you know, might as well finally get it out of the way and just try them!
I went in completely blind on VH/H, no idea how they worked and what I was supposed to do. Looked at the buildings, went for an early cultis which sailed down to asilinn for a later teleport only to be then killed and re-recruited because 15 turns cooldown for cults lol, all while consolidating the islands first. Felt like a super basic gameplan. But THEN-
Got me that first settlement above the islands that contained skaven. In that turn a full stack of ghorst marched in, on its way to the last skaven settlement, with others surely hidden in the fog. Everything was full of vampiric corruption. On the same turn, the ogres to the left declared on me and came in with two full stacks, one per land, one per sea. I figured - Screw it, declared war on Ghorst in March, and wiped him. Sold the settlement back to the skaven to not have to defend it and get some money, and defended my northern island territory that the ogres went for. Said and done, I made my way to finish off Ghorst who took the skaven territory again with 2-3 other stacks. And that's where it became great
Because that one territory to the north takes at the very least two rounds of movement at the start to reach another settlement of Ghorst, I was forced into either attrition, or even slower movement. I instantly was reminded of WH1 where Corruption actually mattered. I instantly was reminded of WH2, where Lustria was big enough to not conquer it within 5 turns lategame. I actually needed a few turns because I did not expect Ghorst to be "up" again so fast, after I had quite a few auto resolve casualties. After healing up a bit and intending to finish him off, I just played the battles manually, and while Ku'tillery is already awesome, his Mortis Engine I instantly went for was just peak. Ghorst was quickly finished after that.
And then I teleported down to Aislinn instantly and took his settlement. That also took a few turns because the maritime vassal faction of his had 3 army stacks + the aislinn stack itself wandering around and I had to do some manouvring and ambushing to get rid of them, while slowly trying to take one of the remaining two provinces which I too couldn't reach within one turn- Oh wait, I made a second cult down there so I just teleported to the other settlement and instantly took it, nevermind.
I felt powerful, while still having the feeling of trying to avoid bad stuff. In most campaigns of WH3, I just snowball instantly and can't be stopped. Even as Katarin I was pretty much in the clear after like 10 turns, if that. Now, the same is absolutely true for Ku'Gath - Aislinn was dead, and the campaign was basically over. I got the money, I got the armies, the chaos dwarfs like me and I'm teleporting back to Greasus for another round of ass-whopping.
I thought I would have some fun and made myself like 30 cults in Cathay spreading my corruption for research rate. But in the end I killed greasus and bhashiva so fast, the only obvious expansion route was cathay, and they couldn't even put up a fight and I autoresolved myself through every single engagement.
It ended up like your average WH3 campaign once your first enemies are dead, but that small bit of necessary movement, attrition, and two-sided front war + a small cult teleport excursion was absolutely glorious.
Biggest campaign take-aways:
I got the Great Unclean One, and man these guys suck total ass.
I hate the Nurgle voice overs. Not only are they ugly, their voices and slurred voicelines actively bother me.
I have no idea what the role of Nurglings is, everything else feels better, even with Ku'Gaths unique skill.
I love the cycling unit limitation of Nurgle, felt like if AR had a bad result, I had to actually take it into my hands to not lose key units I might have non in my reserve of.

Warhammer III Noise Marines from 40k arguably canonically appeared in Warhammer Fantasy
The Praetorians of Slaanesh seem to be Chaos Space Marine Noise Marines that somehow appeared in the world of Warhammer Fantasy: https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Praetorians_of_Slaanesh
I'm not sure if CA or GW would want to have a crossover Space Marine unit but it is kind of fun to learn about

Warhammer 40k Might we at some point have a breakdown of planned modding support for 40k?
They've mentioned that full mod support will be released post-launch but haven't detailed exactly what kinds of mods will be allowed or supported in 40k.
I'm an experienced enough modder to know that we cannot just assume it'll be the same level of moddability and support as the Warhammer series, due to the change in engine.
In addition, it hasn't been said yet which kinds of mods GW will allow in the game. Obviously nothing from other settings, but what about mods based on lore/visuals from other tabletop games in the same setting? This is something they've disallowed for other games - e.g. Horus Heresy elements aren't allowed in the Space Marine 2 steam workshop.
I feel that this is important enough that it would be best done in something like a blog post to be honest.

General My next modern TW game?
Hi, last and only proper TW game i played was Shogun 2 and i absolutely cheesed it with Ashigaru.
unfortunately im unable to hold complex war games together and do not want to study youtube videos how correctly set economy, diplomacy and basically excel/math all the fun out from the game.
Shogun 2 was on my limit and was winnable with purely “gaming” approach, instead of study.
would you recommend next best thing? reading here i assume warhammer, but fear its too random and complex (massive) and im wh40k fan (yay for future) but know nothing of fantasy lore, except the sheer randomness of factions and that scavens are edgiest :)

Rome II Does anyone want to play total war Rome 2??
SO, I have only completed the first prologue or whatever, where you take over the small areas of Italy to try and get the consul back or whatever, and a bit of a grand campaign
SO, I am very much still learning, and well I kinda want to play against other real players and also be able to like talk and have fine while learning how to play better, and like maybe get a few pointers on what I’m doing wrong from whoever I’m playing with IF they would want to give any
Like I want to play and get better but I don’t want to play against a random person in silence 💔
Oo also if there are any good discord servers I could joint for Rome 2, Rome remastered, Attila, or pharaoh, please let me know🙏 (I’m addicting to buy games I know😭😭 but they were on sale so who can blame me😌)

Warhammer III After End Times, I'd love to see some sort of Ordertide unification expansion so evil factions are guaranteed to have some united order factions to fight in the end game
One of my favourite things about IE campaigns is how different the world state can end up. If you're not playing as them, sometimes the Empire, Dwarfs, and Kislev end up in ruins, sometimes they end up close to the ordertide from WH2. This is great for variety, but it can mean an anticlimax if you're, say, looking forward to smashing the Empire with Tamurkhan. With the new end game scenarios, plus the diplo bonuses for factions fighting against them, I'm thinking that a great expansion for the long-term health of the game would be, effectively, an 'Ordertide End Times' type pack so you're guaranteed to have something challenging to go up against as Skaven, Nagash, Chaos etc.
An example of this would be a scenario that unites The Empire under Franz, gives them bonuses and makes you deal with narrative dilemmas and events (your cults can only undermine one out of two cities - Nuln or Reikland - cav vs gunpowder bonuses etc) - similar to how Archaon's End Times scenario unites chaos under his banner. If I wanted to get realllllly greedy, my dream scenario would be letting you play on either side of this, basically taking the council scene from the IE trailer and adapting it into something like the Federation system from Stellaris.
I'm positive there's a bunch of stuff I'm overlooking here, but what do you think? Do you see something like this working?

Warhammer II Should I start with Warhammer 2 or wait sales for W3?
I owned both W1 and W2 when they were given away for free on Epic Games years ago.
The only similar game I’ve played is Crusader Kings 3. I had to spend around 10–15 hours learning the basics of that game.
It’s kinda intimidating to start a new grand strategy game.
Which one is more beginner-friendly and has a good tutorial?

Warhammer III Introducing “Total War Warhammer Ultimate.” Are you buying?
Introducing Total War Warhammer Ultimate Edition for $59.99. Would you buy? New features include:
- Introduction of full naval combat and mixed naval and land assaults (similar to Rome II). Each faction has their own uniquely designed ships.
- Expanded battle maps. Settlement battle maps are expanded in size and functionality to more closely resemble historical total war settlement maps. Each unique settlement has their city full realized on the battle map. Non-settlement battle maps are more varied and now always reflect landscape where the armies engaged combat.
- Updated animations for Warhammer 1 and 2 factions, bringing them inline with Warhammer 3 factions
- Factions from Warhammer 1 and 2 that do not currently have faction mechanics are granted new ones. They are also rebalanced and tweaked to bring them inline with Warhammer 3 factions.
- Siege overhaul. Sieges are reworked to be more like Total War Attila. Additionally, new ways to bypass walls have been introduced such as Eshin being able to scale walls without ladders, ethereal units can pass through walls, etc etc.
- Introduction of 4 entirely new factions: Nippon, Ind, Araby, and Albion. Additional DLC will come for Kuresh, Halflings, Amazons, and Hobgoblins. The map will be expanded to accommodate these new factions. There will be no unique campaign mode involving these factions.
- AI overhaul. Campaign difficulty now determines how intelligent the AI factions are. AI stat modifiers are removed from the campaign difficulty slider. Legendary difficulty AI will now operate the level of a competitive Warhammer human player.
- Magic rework. Stat boost spells are reworked to grant more meaningful stat boosts. Spells can now grant a range of defensive attributes or offensive contact effects in addition to stat boosts. This should make non-damaging spells feel more impact.
- The campaign modes from Warhammer 1, 2 and 3 are available in this game with all the updates. These campaigns have also had a pass over to bring them up to date and address the most common complaints with them.
- Mortal empires and Immortal empires are both available on day 1. Mortal empires retains the factions from Warhammer 1 and 2. This mode was preserved for those who prefer a smaller map with a focus on Lustria and Ulthuan. Immortal empires will be expanded with new areas and factions appearing.
- General graphics updates and performance optimizations. Support for frame generation technology and DLSS. End turn speed increases by on average 15% across configurations.
- End of features -
Would you buy this if CA released it?

Warhammer III I hope Josh can put some light on this. why is there Lava streams in the Undead devastation? to me it does not make thematic sense to have Lava around when it should be undead, mby if it was Teal soul streams instead, just like when certain choas corruption takes over Lava spots
again it could just be some overlapping stuff, but would be nice to know why its there

Warhammer III Prologue not helping
I am new to the total war series so I tried the prologue and I am just totally lost. I am at the battle for the brazen alter and by the third reinforcement, my army is totally wiped out. I eventually gave up and tried a siege which I even less of an idea how to do. I also don't know when to stop upgrading my settlments and unlocking troops and just fight. Does it matter how many turns I take to prepare? Is this game just a trial by fire or am I missing something?

Warhammer III Book of Grudges of missing Unit Animations
I'm probably going to get downvoted to hell for this, but I want to clarify that this isn't a criticism. I just think it's a shame, especially considering that CA probably has one of the best animation teams in the industry.
I'll start with:
- The miniguns on the Stormfiends' Ratling Guns don't spin.
- Arbaal doesn't have any riding animation.
- The Empire's handgunners don't have a reload animation.
- And the Wrathmongers would apparently be the only "God-touched" Champion unit without a unique combat animation.

Warhammer III Anyone underwhelmed with the Nagash campaign effects reveal?
From what they showed the black pyramid is the tech tree. But they list it as an entire faction effect.
Now it could be bigger than a normal tech tree, but they didnt show much.
Feels initially underwhelming considering warriors of chaos have a tech tree and gifts of chaos for insane bonuses
Then there is his unit mechanics. He has both unit caps and upkeep? The worst of both worlds.
With chorfs it make sense considering how they work and how elite their units are.
But for Nagash even some trash had unit caps.
Yea there is a lot not revealed, but only revealing this leads to some disappointing conclusions
