Europe [22M] Sep 1 - Sep 8 | Copenhagen, Malmö, Roskilde, Aarhus - Looking for a travel partner!

Hi everyone,
I'm arriving in Kopenhag tomorrow for a solo trip from September 1st to the 8th. I'm looking for fellow travelers (preferably around their 20s) who might be in the area to explore together!
Here is my rough itinerary:
Sep 1 - Sep 8: Base in Kopenhag (I'll be staying at the MEININGER Hotel Copenhagen.
Sep 3: Day trip across the bridge to Malmö, Sweden.
Sep 5 (Saturday): Heading out to Roskilde and then continuing to Aarhus.
A bit about me: I'm 22, studying hydrogeological engineering, and I love staying active. I have a huge interest in Viking history, checking out unique geological spots, photography, and keeping up with football.
I'm completely open to having someone join this exact plan, or we can make some new plans together if you have other ideas.
If you are going to be around and want to meet up for a coffee, explore the city, or do a day trip together, feel free to shoot me a DM for details!

Europe Bratislava (M 27) 8-12 Nov 2026

Hi, I will be travelling to Bratislava and staying between 8-12 Nov. I would love to find a travel buddy if they are also travelling during the same time.

I am mainly into history and architecture (and perhaps some local cuisines), so I would be visiting a bunch of museums and roaming around the city.

Let me know if you would want to join me for a walk or a museum visit. Coffee would be on me :)

Europe Sicily → Malta → Egypt, Aug 29 – Sep 12

Hey everyone,

I’m (35M) doing a multi‑stop trip soon and thought I’d check if anyone here is traveling in the same regions and might want to join for a few days.

My route looks like this:

Catania, Sicily

Valletta, Malta

Cairo, Egypt

Dates: August 29 – September 12

I’m flexible with activities — city exploring, good food, beaches, photography, and just hanging out. I’m not looking for anything super organized, just someone who enjoys traveling, talking, and maybe sharing a few days of the journey. If you happen to be around any of these places during that time and feel like meeting up, feel free to message me.

East Asia [30 Aug–7 Sep] Looking for travel companions West Japan — Kobe → Setouchi → Yamaguchi → Shimane

Hey everyone!

I'm planning a budget backpacking trip through western Japan from Aug 30 to Sep 7 and would love to meet some people and potentially travel together for part or all of the journey.
I'll be taking a bus from Tokyo to Kobe on the evening of Aug 29, then travelling mainly by local trains using the Seishun 18 Kippu, with buses/ferries where necessary.

Rough route
Kobe → Himeji → Okayama → Kurashiki → Onomichi → Hiroshima/Miyajima → Iwakuni → Shimonoseki → Hagi → Tsuwano → Izumo → Gassan Toda → Matsue → Sakaiminato → Nishinoshima
I need to reach Nishinoshima in the Oki Islands on Sep 7, so that's the fixed endpoint.

Places/things I'm hoping to see

Himeji Castle

Okayama Castle + Korakuen

Kurashiki's historic district

Onomichi and the Seto Inland Sea

Hiroshima + Miyajima

Iwakuni Castle + Kintai Bridge

Shimonoseki, Dannoura & the Kanmon Strait

Hagi's old castle town and samurai districts

Tsuwano

Izumo Taisha

Gassan Toda Castle ruins

Matsue Castle

Nishinoshima / Oki Islands

I'm interested in more than just Sengoku history — I want to see a mix of castles, samurai history, older towns, temples/shrines, nature, local culture, food, and interesting historical sites along the Seto Inland Sea and western Japan.

I'm mainly planning to use trains and buses, but if anyone happens to be driving somewhere along this route during these dates and wouldn't mind having a travel companion for part of the journey, I'd be very happy to hear from you!

I'm particularly interested in the Yamaguchi → Hagi → Tsuwano → Shimane section, where having a car would make getting around much easier.
I'd be happy to contribute toward fuel, tolls and parking, and I can help with navigation/planning. I'm not expecting anyone to change their trip specifically for me — if our routes happen to overlap, I'd love to join.

Looking for travel companions
You don't have to join for the entire trip. Even joining for 2–3 days or a particular section would be great.

For example:
Kobe → Himeji

Himeji → Kurashiki → Onomichi

Hiroshima → Iwakuni → Shimonoseki

Shimonoseki → Hagi → Tsuwano

Hagi/Tsuwano → Shimane

I'm staying mostly in hostels/guesthouses and trying to keep the trip relatively inexpensive.
I'm pretty flexible with sightseeing and happy to adjust plans if someone has interesting places they'd like to visit along the way.

Age/gender/etc. doesn't really matter to me — I'm just looking for friendly people who enjoy travelling, exploring historical places, walking around old towns, trying local food, and having some spontaneous adventures.

If you're interested, send me a DM with your dates, where you're going, and what you're interested in seeing, and we can see if our routes overlap.
Cheers!

A bit about myself

I'm a university student currently studying at Tohoku University. I'm originally from Bangladesh and have been living in Japan for a while, so I'm comfortable travelling around Japan and using trains, buses, etc and I am fluent in Japanese.
I'm pretty easygoing and enjoy history, nature, exploring places on foot, photography, food, and learning about local culture. I'm especially interested in Japanese history, but I'm not looking to make this a purely historical trip — I also want to experience the towns, scenery, food, and everyday side of western Japan.
I'm travelling on a student/budget, so I'm mostly looking at hostels and inexpensive accommodation and using the Seishun 18 Kippu where practical.
I'm happy to travel with people who are social and spontaneous, but I also don't mind splitting up for a few hours and meeting back up later. Basically, no strict travel style — just hoping to meet some good people and have a fun trip.

Europe [29M] Hamburg September 29th to Oct 4th, then 2 days in Amsterdam / Copenhagen

Hello 😄
I am [29M] traveling to Hamburg for a conference, and I decided to take the chance to explore the city during my stay. Plus, I have 2 free days after the conference, during which I decided to explore another city (still not sure which but most likely Amsterdam or Copenhagen).

I haven't been to Germany before and only know the very basics of German, but I speak fluent English.

Looking for someone to join me exploring and make new friends, I enjoy walking, talking, eating, taking pics, etc., with company.

Europe Serbia Sept 12-17

M30 planning a solo trip in Serbia, will cover Belgrade, maybe Novi Sad but also some of nature (Tara national park, Uvac, etc.). No concrete plans yet, and initially I wanted to do a solo trip, but it seems that travelling across Serbia is best done by car. And I feel weird renting a car all by myself and driving it just for me.

So open to anyone who might be travelling around Serbia around the same time, and see if our plans can match :) Feel free to DM

Europe 38M Solo Traveler from Norway: Barcelona 28 Sep - 3th Oct

I am taking a vacation after a while from work, and decided to get out and of my comfort zone. I will stay in Barcelona for a week and then the on 3th Oct I will take train to Madrid to spend the weekend there. I'm planning to stay close to beach, and enjoy the beach and city life.

I am born and raised in Norway, I speak English, Norwegian, and Urdu. I am a introvert person but when I am with people who I feel comfortable with I can talk and then I am pretty easygoing.

I'd love to meet someone who's up for exploring the city together. I am also comfortable with taking train out of Barcelona to explore nearby places.

East Asia [33m] Seoul Sept 5-7 & Hong Kong Sept 21-23

Hi y'all, will be solo in Seoul and Hong Kong on these dates (not my first time in either city) and while I don't mind sightseeing, shopping, exploring on my own, it'd be nice to maybe meet new people and either hang out for a meal or activity.

A bit about me:

- Chinese-American (if you know canto, then plz be my convo buddy)

- work in tech (so kinda nerdy)

- enjoy historical sites, museums, nature/hiking, city exploring (show me your local haunts)

- I love food, but am not pretentious about it

Let me know if you'll also be there at those times and want to hang out!

Europe 31 [F4A] Australian travelling solo: Padua 14–17 Aug + Venice 16 Aug -anyone want to hang out?

Hi! I’m 31F from Australia and currently travelling solo around Italy. I’ll be in Padua from 14–17 August, and I’m planning a day trip to Venice on Sunday the 16th.
I made a similar post when I was in Vienna and ended up meeting some really interesting people, so I thought I’d try my luck again!
I’d be keen to meet locals or other travellers for something completely platonic like coffee, cake/gelato, dinner, wandering around the city, checking out something interesting.

I’m also very open to recommendations! I’d especially love to know about:

good local places to eat?
specialty coffee?
interesting or unusual things to see!
nice places to wander that I might otherwise miss!

I’m perfectly happy exploring on my own too, but travelling is a lot more interesting when you occasionally meet someone you’d never otherwise have crossed paths with.
If you’ll be around Padua or Venice on those dates and feel like hanging out, send me a message :) Oh, and after Padua, I’ll be going to Florence on the 17th!
