My roomate and I dont mesh at all. I have to wake up early for class so I go to bed somewhat after 10. They however stay up all night and even into the morning on their computer watching videos. They also dont like sleeping in darkness so a light has to be on which messes with how I sleep. On top of that their classes start around 12 so theyre just in the room all morning. They also get back late so naturally they want to chill in the room before they sleep.

We’ve already had a talk about this but I genuinely dont see this getting better and I can just tell it wont. Is there anyway that I would be able to change my room this early into the year? And is this even serious enough for the RA to actually let me change my room?

Typically, professors have financial hardship access codes they can administer. Except one dumbass professor.

Lost access to Duo Mobile today, locking me out of any Office platform I didn’t recently log into. Used my remaining access to offload all my documents and into a personal OneDrive. Graduated in May of this year.

Is it true UAlbany early action acceptance rate is much higher than regular descion?
(Also is the school hard to get into?)

Why was there police and ambulance at indigenous today? For reference this was around 10-11pm.

The syllabus is requiring to purchase the textbook on Cengage, but doesn’t mention homework.

I’ve used Cengage before and usually the homework is accessed when you pay more for MindTap access. The syllabus however, doesn’t mention MindTap or what the homework will be like at all. Has anyone taken or is in the class currently and knows what do to?

I never use textbooks profs require and would like to save money if I could, but if that’s where the homework access is then I’ll buy it.

Do any of the gyms have?

I have been wanting to live close enough to the city where I’d be able to easily access for a while now, and at first I thought UAlbany was perfect for me but now I am starting to overthink it a little bit. I am 19, class of 2025 and currently enrolled at CT state community colleges, but am planning to transfer to a 4 year college this spring. I am on the path to law school so I am going to get my degree in criminal justice, which seems like UAlbany has a pretty good school in that will give me a good pre law foundation.

But I don’t have any friends or family in NY, so I would have to meet people first. I was already planning on finding a club or organization that I liked, but how is the social life here? If someone could give me some insight that would be great. I love meeting people and making friends so I’d prefer to go to a college where that is easy, and one where there is weekly events/parties or just any type of gathering. I just want to have a good social life while i’m at college

Does anyone know how to interpret the evaluations after they accept your transfer credits. The person I have for my academic advisor isn’t very helpful and didn’t explain it, made it feel like I was bothering him.

Just wanted to know how to make sense of it and if I’m doing things correctly before we have to select classes when spring sign up comes.

I’m planning to transfer in Fall 2027, and I’ll be a junior and 22 years old at that point. Would I have trouble making friends because I’m older? I took a 1.5-year gap, so I’m worried about being too old compared to everyone else.

Does anybody remember from last year when someone remade the campus on UAlbany in Minecraft? I’m trying to make a Roblox style goat simulator game and I’m wondering if I can use the Minecraft server as a reference point for the dimensions of the campus for my game, if anybody has access to photos of the server or even the server itself, it would be greatly appreciated!
