Bouncy UK Garage, fast bassline with skippy 4x4 drums.

We are a 2 piece rock band called The Ill Gotten Vine and this song is about my ex girlfriend

Taking the original lead vocal track, and recording a new backing on GarageBand (no AI used whatsoever), I tried to imagine how it might have sounded if The White Striped had embraced UK Garage! Hoped some in this sub might find it entertaining.

Was listening to Bootleg Banditz 010 on SoundCloud and was wondering a way to get a song from it onto my usb. Is there anywhere I can download the songs from?

I got free time lately to start on a remix/collab and to help out in general. Been on a UKG binge so deep I'm not even listening to dnb these days because a lot of UKG has been so hype lol.

I generally like making remixes more than my own stuff, it's just my quirk. Or if anyone's looking drum/breaks, general mixing/mastering advice post it and we can get some UKG talk going!

I see a lot of r/dnbproduction and r/DubstepProduction and so on but I couldn't find one for UKG. I hope the mods are okay with this post =)

The track that drops in around 6:00. There is a spoken tag right at the start of it - it sounds like it could be "DJ Q", but I cannot tell whether the word ends there or carries on.

Shazam and Aha Music (ACRCloud) both come back with nothing, so I assume it is a dub, a white label or a bootleg edit. Keep Hush tagged the set as UK Funky / Funky House. Uploaded 15 May 2019.

30 years ago in 1996 a UK Garage track sampled a horror movie & helped shape a sound that added a much darker tone to the genre.

The track took the tension of the 1991 film and turned it into a stripped back, moody roller with menacing drums, warped bass and that unmistakable “Cape Fear” sample.

Fast forward to 2011 and Fourtet featured it as part of his Fabric Live 59 mix, introducing it to a whole new generation & audience.
