The 47th Engineering Brigade, whom you recently bought a car lifter for their repair garage, provided these three patches: a Ukrainian tryzub, a patch from the 311th Separate Engineer Battalion, and another mysterious yet beautiful unit patch.

TRance has been my escape for years. When I recently found out that Sean Tyas — one of my absolute favorite DJs — is scheduled to headline an event in Moscow hosted by the Russian label Suanda, it hit hard.

​I couldn’t believe an artist I looked up to was willing to compromise basic humanitarian values to cash in. When I tried to call him out and ask direct questions, his response was to block me entirely instead of offering any explanation. But the truth doesn't go away just because you hit a block button.

​Once I started digging deeper, I realized this isn't even Tyas's first time riding for Moscow money — and more importantly, it goes way beyond just one guy.

​I started looking into who else is trading morals for blood money, and it turns out the Ukrainian clubbing community has already compiled a massive, well-documented list of trance DJs who have sold out. And what I found out is disgraceful.

​One of the first icons to break the path to Moscow for easy rubles after the full-scale invasion in Ukraine was none other than Paul Oakenfold — a true titan of the global dance scene. Following his lead, acts like Vini Vici stepped in, and the floodgates opened for others. The logic among these artists seems to be sickeningly simple: if legends of that caliber can cash in, why shouldn't everyone else?

​We’ve seen the playbook before. A major DJ’s name suddenly appears on a Moscow or Sochi promoter's flyer, but their official international website tour dates remain completely clean. They deliberately hide the gig from their Western and European fanbases to avoid reputational backlash, hoping nobody will notice.

​Take the recent precedent with LNY TNZ and the Decibel Outdoor festival: when Dutch media and local activists exposed his planned performance in Moscow, the festival immediately cut him from the lineup. It proved 100% that public pressure, facts, and holding artists accountable actually work. Organizers and management are terrified of toxic associations—as they should be.

​Yet, when we look at legacy figures like Paul van Dyk—whose upcoming tour dates for January 2027 in Moscow (VK Stadium on January 5) and Sochi (Rosa Hall on January 7) are heavily promoted by local Russian agencies while missing from his global schedule—the community response is often split with weak excuses:

​"Music is apolitical."

​"You shouldn't judge by a passport."

​Or worse, resort to shallow "whataboutism" trying to deflect the conversation entirely.

​It’s not just Russia. A bunch of these artists have also been performing in Belarus — which is essentially an extension of the Russian regime, a dictatorship where people get thrown in prison just for dissent, and the exact staging ground from which the invasion and missile strikes against Kyiv and other cities were launched. Russia and Belarus are cut from the exact same blood-soaked cloth.

​While our friends and families are dealing with air raids, shelling, and terror every single day, these guys are happily taking checks from regimes that murder people.

​And the double standard is infuriating. On the flip side, Russian artists like Roman Messer and his Suanda Music label are free to travel the world, get booked at major festivals like Dreamstate, and collect Western money with zero consequences.

​Let’s be crystal clear: taking money from structures tied directly to a government committing daily war atrocities isn't "just making music." Music is supposed to unite people, but you can't "unite" with terrorists and murderers while hiding behind the "music is apolitical" excuse.

Monthly count of Ukrainian children killed and maimed by Russia reaches four-year high

On September 1, the start of the school year in Ukraine, many schools did not reopen due to the constant terror of Russian shelling. However, Russia’s genocidal practices concern more than just education or culture.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia killed 739 and injured 2,840 Ukrainian children. 2,374 are considered missing. Moreover, 20,610 have been illegally deported and displaced, essentially abducted. For this war crime, the International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued an arrest warrant for the Russian dictator.

According to the UN Monitoring Mission, July 2026 witnessed the largest number of Ukrainian children killed or wounded by Russian aggressors since April 2022. In July 2026, seventeen children were murdered and 166 were injured, one and a half times more than in June.
