Train vs Flixbus for arriving to Padua

Upvotes

I'm landing at Milan Malpensa Airport and I want to know which option is better to come to Padua from.

For the train I'd have to go from the airport to the Milan central station and then Padua . From the ticket prices online it will also cost more than the flixbus. I also heard that there's going to be a train strike later at night on the day I arrive and I'm worried if maybe my flight gets delayed or I get delayed at immigration that I will not be able to get to Padua cause of the strike.

For Flixbus, the tickets are much cheaper and there's a direct bus to Padua. I think approximately the arrival time for both the bus and final train are similar. But I'm not familiar with Flixbus at all. Is it reliable in the sense of security and punctuality?

Has anyone used Flixbus before to reach Padua when arriving and would you recommend it over the train.

Sociologia (unipd)

Ciao!

Qualcuno/a ha frequentato la triennale in sociologia a Padova? Sono indeciso se iscrivermi a questo corso di laurea, quindi mi farebbe piacere parlare con persone che hanno avuto modo di frequentarlo o sono iscritte!! :)

Come vi siete trovati? Che cosa avete fatto dopo la triennale?

Grazie!

Residenza Forcellini (women only) - experiences?

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m seriously considering staying at Residenza Forcellini (women only) because finding accommodation in Padova right now is proving so difficult 😭

I’ve seen quite a few really bad reviews on Google, but most of them seem to be quite old, so I was wondering if anyone here has stayed there recently or knows someone who has.

How is it actually living there? I’d especially love to know about:

  • cleanliness and maintenance
  • the rooms and shared facilities
  • the atmosphere / other residents
  • how responsive the staff are
  • whether there have been any major issues during your stay

I’d really appreciate any recent experiences or recommendations before I make a decision. Thank you!

Anyone interviewed for UniPD MSc Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology? Questions & next steps

Hi everyone! Is there anyone here who has attended the admission interview for the MSc Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Padua (UniPD)?

I’m preparing for the interview and would really appreciate some information from anyone who has already gone through the process.

I’d like to know:

  • What kind of questions are usually asked during the interview?
  • Are the questions mainly about our academic background/motivation, or do they also ask subject-specific questions related to neuroscience, neuropsychology, psychology, etc.?
  • Which topics or sections would you recommend preparing more?
  • How difficult was the interview and approximately how long did it take?
  • If you were selected, how many days after the interview did you receive the result?
  • What were the next steps after receiving the admission result?
  • Did you have to complete any additional documents or procedures after being accepted?

If anyone has recently attended the interview and is comfortable sharing their experience or even some of the questions they were asked, it would help me a lot.

Thank you in advance! 🙏
