Was second hand shopping and came across this in with a bunch of random bowls for 3.50.

Feels chunky, lights up under 395, and I love it. Wife is not happy I may have a new collecting obsession though ...

Member Collections Due to some really irritating circumstances, I have to box up and store basically everything in my basement. Thought I'd snap one last set of pictures of my collection displayed and intact. Really hoping nothing gets broken 💔 🙏

My second large compote from LG Wright(1970s) came today, and I figured I would share in case you haven't seen dark uranium glass. This color was only officially made by Viking on paper. The compotes are 10.5" tall, and weigh about 8lbs each. The 365nm glow is quenched by some additive (iron?). They glow best in 395nm and read about 60cpm on a GMC-800.

3 sitzendorfs and 1 grafenthal. All have uranium glaze. Trying to recapture our lost bulldog. I think i did pretty good, especially the little scratching sitzendorf for 6.50, just missing the fly.

I’ve been exceedingly lucky this week. I don’t know if they are all my style but they sure do look great. 3 cadmium bowls. 3 martini style glasses. 1 platter and 1 super glowy semi glow in the dark retro clock. Oh and also 6 cabinet drawer pulls stored in the bowls!

Thirft Haul Finally broke my dry spell!

After several months of not finding anything thrifting, and a couple of blind buy busts, I finally broke the dry spell!!

Found these 4 beautiful UG stem cordial glasses yesterday at my local thrift. It’s been so dry I wasn’t even prepared and only had my 365 on me. I confirmed with my 395 once I got home. They were literally a steal at less than $4 for the set of 4.

Upon researching, I believe they are Wesson depression era glass with a beautiful etching on them.

So happy to slowly be growing my modest collection. 💚💚💚

I’ve only started collecting about a month ago but I’ve been so incredibly lucky since last week! I bought six pieces at a cute antique store a week ago in the town next to us for a VERY good price (the seller knew it was UG so I didn’t totally feel like I found it in the wild) and today I found 3 plates in the town I live in inside a second hand shop. 50 cents a piece!! Pretty sure they didn’t know this was UG as it was on a table with brightly colored (mostly plastic) kitchenware so this really felt like finding it in the wild. I’m so happy!

Side note - can anyone tell me if this bottle is uranium glaze, or uranium milk glass? And is the stamp on the bottom just outta whack, or do they normally look that way?

Thanks in advance! New family photo at the end :)

I was told it's LE Smith. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but I love them nonetheless.

Uranium on the right, mix of cadmium and 365nm in the middle, and regular flavor on the left. Eventually I would like to do one of them all cadmium but finding 2000 cadmium marbles seems like a lofty goal.

Vaseline Glass I don't buy all that much for myself these days

But when I saw BCV had these globes available and were not going to have any more ever due to production issues, I knew I had to have one.

It's meant to sit upside down on the opening but adding an LE Smith Moon and Stars compote made it into an epic vase. Or leech bowl if I ever decide to get leeches.

I brough this piece a few years ago and I'm trying to find out any info about it but not getting anywhere it could possibly be Harrach, Moser-Karlsbad, Baccarat, Riedel or Other Bohemian makers?

Antique Bohemian enameled uranium glass vase?

Possibly Production Era: Circa 1885–1905 (or earlier 1840–1865?)

Footprint: Height: 25.5cm | Rim Width: 5.0cm | Base Width: 7.5cm

Base features a wheel-cut, polished concave indented pontil scar alongside a possible remnant of raised enamel decorator's identification mark or imperfection

Rim exhibits an original factory-gilded and fire-polished shear line.

I cant find a single similar shape vase and this vase seem very similar compared to images I've seen online.

If anyone had any info that could help me that would be great Thanks in advance

Seeking Info I went out hunting for yooperlite and found some other glowing things instead

Hello lovely uranium glass enthusiasts!

I am not a uranium glass collector, but I have been pretty obsessed with treasury hunting at the beach lately and as a result, I have expanded my collection of sea glass quite a bit this summer.

Yesterday, I finally purchased a UV light in hopes of finding yooperlite but no luck. But I did certainly find some things that glow. I used some guides from this sub to try to figure out what they are and I’m hoping you could tell me if I got any of them right in your opinion.

If you’re looking at the photos in my hand, my best guesses from left to right are:

1 and 2- uranium glass. Maybe jadeite?
3 through 5- custard uranium glass
6- it didn’t photograph very well but in person it’s bright blue under the light so I was thinking lead, but the glass is not clear so I’m not sure

Bottom row- I’m no longer confident that these are reacting to the UV light because it doesn’t show in the photographs. I think I might have just noticed them because they’re white. But I will say they seem to glow a very, very faint green and I would imagine it would be purple if it was just reflecting the light? So I’m not totally sure.

Last two photos are my new glowing additions to the rest of my seaglass collection:)
