Please join the peaceful march organised by Save The Dogs which protests against laboratory beagle testing and breeding facilities in the UK. Where there is a will, there is a way and we must put pressure on the government to invest in cutlery free science (which benefits ALL animals) - there just isn't enough outcry or demand to change archaic ways.

What do you put in a packed lunch for your kids? (Or yourself I guess!)

Im pre ordering my kids school meals and theres a lot of baked potato and beans or plain pasta with salad. I think I can do better for him and he can eat packed lunch sat with his hot meal friends too.

If we were popping out for the day it would probably be quorn ham and cheese sandwich, blueberries, fruit leather and pom bear type crisps but I think thats a bit salty probably for every day!

where are people buying men's trainers (or unisex that come in a UK10 lol) that aren't all either extremely expensive or extremely un-stylish? my current go-to is to buy non vegan trainers secondhand, but it's not really something I'd like to be my main source of shoes.

is there anywhere I'm not thinking of? currently I end up sifting through websites reading the "material" sections of shoes - but it doesn't tell me what's in glue etc anyway. any recommendations or options I might be forgetting?

I am soo craving a Vegan Royale but I am a staunch boycotter, what can I do to get rid of my cravings? I have tried buying the crispy chicken replacement from The Vegetarian Butcher but it just doesn’t taste the same

Vegan of 5 years here.

Just been made breakfast for the first time in ages, turns out the sausages were actually pig sausages not the normal Richmond ones.

Just need to vent cause I’m so pissed off. This isn’t the first time she’s done this (to my brother previously).

I threw up, brushed my teeth 3 times, now I’m just sat contemplating what to do now. I feel disgusting, it wasn’t just me she fed - it was my vegan brother and vegan boyfriend.

They’re trying to make me feel better but nothings going to ‘fix’ it.

Edit: It was a mistake, apparently she’s very apologetic, I haven’t spoken to her yet - I went upstairs and cleaned myself up and haven’t been down since.

Ordered a couple of subs today as my wife was craving one, ordered my usual Veggie Delite and made some Squeaky Bean bacon to go in it, but when I opened my sandwich it had veggie patties in it.

Last time I tried one was about 22 years ago when I worked at Subway and I got it as my free lunch for the shift. Absolutely hated it.

Got to say, tried it today and it was very different from how I remember it. Pleasantly surprised if I’m honest.

Sure it’s no Meatless Meatballs but it’s better than just vegetables for my sandwich!

Was the packaging designed by the same person as EatReal chips? I just want to stuff them in my face, I don’t want to wrestle with the bag for 10 minutes first 😭

I went to Sainsbury's today and there weren't any vegan ones.

Bonus points for bricks and mortar becuse I have a funny shape so I need to try them on first. Charity shops get ransacked by resellers and they have more time off work than me. Also used socks and gym clothes are kind of gross. I just want a reliable source for plant based plastic free undies which don't keep anyone in poverty

I just really need to vent to fellow vegans.
I ordered a lemon and ginger tea from a cafe yesterday, double checking that it was ok as I am vegan and can’t have caffeine. Waitress said the tea was good for both.
But after having a few sips I looked at the tag attached to the tea bag and found that it was actually a pukka lemon, ginger and honey tea.
I am honestly devastated. I can fully comprehend that this is not my fault but I still hate that I have now financially contributed to this product.
Yes I absolutely would have returned the tea but unfortunately it was a takeaway purchase and I read the tag just before I had to get a train.
I am still working out whether or not I should complain because i am really not a confrontational person. However it should be so important for anyone working in the food industry to understand common dietary requirements whether due to ethics or health and what products they are selling. What would you do? Thanks for reading my rant.

I'm still unsure if ingesting anything would translate to collagen production anyway since it's so linked to the building blocks to stimulate/ create our own...

I’m vegan and have been for a very very long time (over a decade) my partner wants to eat less meat and wants to start eating vegan stuff but cheese is the big issue, and I can’t kid her but vegan cheese is from my experience severely underwhelming. Every time I see people say ‘try applewood smoked and the normal one they’re the best!’ It’s genuinely the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten and smelled, and trust me I’ve eaten some gross things. It tastes like foot fungus smells.

Is there any actually good vegan cheese?

I’ve recently gone dairy free and I loved having a coffee pod in the morning or a caramel latte sachet. It there any dairy free alternatives. I haven’t been able to find any

I remember tesco had a nice vegan salad cream in its free from range but I've not seen any vegan salad cream anywhere.

I bought tempeh a couple of months ago and found jt awful. Mostly texture wise, and I ended up throwing it away because I couldn’t eat it. I keep seeing it on social media though and while I’m happy with tofu, I’m wondering if I should try again to shake up my plant based protein options. Or if it’s just a really marmite food and I should accept it’s not for me and move on. I keep seeing delicious looking recipes on Instagram and am getting fomo. I had the Tofoo brand or the Tiba Tempeh, I can’t remember which.
