I can hear my husband saying "really? Fallout again?"

It's just so good. And the mods give it endless content. It's hard to beat.

Honestly even when you’re on something like console that doesn’t really allow mods there’s still just so much content, you’re always gonna miss something

And the DLCs

u/Deniverous Jul 22 '26

I can hear my wife saying the same thing.

Y'all should get divorced and marry each other

1

u/Deniverous Jul 23 '26

Depends on what UnHappyCamper14 plays on. I'm on console, and if he is on console, who gets the tv?

1

u/pissdrinking101 Jul 23 '26

Have 2 tvs, duh. Who tf only has 1 tv?

1

u/Deniverous Jul 23 '26

I figured we'd be next to each other in my living room, like when I sit next to my wife and play. I have one tv in my living room, it is 85". Can't fit another.

I play on PC so you can have the TV

Man living in 110f degrees (44 c) makes me wish I'm patroling the Mojave.

Hell yes, give me the New Vegas Remaster over GTA 6 any day of the week.

I've never played New Vegas, but I'm constantly seeing people praising it. I'm tempted to give it a try, but I'm worried that it won't really live up to the hype. I'm not particularly drawn to the post apocalyptic fallout vibe, and furthermore I felt very meh about fallout 3 and 4 (the only two I've played).

What would you tell a prospective new player to encourage them to try it? What is it doing that I'm not going to find elsewhere?

I started with fallout 3 at my buddies house and only played maybe an hour thought it seemed pretty fun the first fallout game I got was new vegas and it was okay in the beginning...

I dont know when it finally dawned on me that this was the most brilliant game id ever played kinda ugly janky and buggy but underneath it was a truly special game all your choices have consequences true consequences good or bad

Complete a quest and feel good until the game tells you you've failed multiple quest lines why you ask because that quest line was a rival factions quest line it made me want to play the game again before I even finished the game

I tried fallout 3 next and felt it was kinda ass but I enjoyed parts I thought to myself well its older so ill enjoy the universe anyways i didnt realize being my younger self that it was made from someone entirely different. New vegas is fallout out for me fallout 3 and 4 are Bethesda fun but not fallout fun. Probably doesn't make sense if you haven't played but its definitely worth a solid try

It's basic fallout 3 in terms of gameplay but a little bit better. But the reason people play MV is it actually lets you make choices. In fallout 3 and 4 you have "essential" characters. They can not die until their quest is done. In new Vegas you can literally kill the big bad and the enemy faction changes leadership.

If you didn't like fo3 or fo4 you will likely not enjoy FNV.

That said, I still think you should try it! There's a lot more power in your hands as far as decisions go. You can truly choose your own adventure in FNV which is much harder to do in fo3 or fo4. There's a lot of morally ambiguous shit that you have to navigate as the Courier.

I should boot it up again!

Is the ps3 version still good? Can I get it for ps5?

2

u/raziel11111 Jul 22 '26

IDK I play on pc.

1

u/Old-Recording6103 Jul 25 '26

The PS3 version was never good my brother in Christ.

You owe it to yourself to see it in an updated version, like Viva New Vegas.

1

u/Serkaugh Jul 25 '26

That’s the only version I played haha!

I guess since it’s an old game, like any pc could run this game ?

2

u/Old-Recording6103 Jul 25 '26

Yeah, pretty much anything from the last 5-10 years should do.

1

u/Sensitive-Garage5866 Jul 23 '26

Let's hope the remake gives of the same good feelings as the original

1

u/TheDarkSoulAdam Jul 23 '26

I know I am the black sheep of the community but I have always liked 3 more.

1

u/raziel11111 Jul 24 '26

Both are great. That's why I play TTW

1

u/Brokkensteel Jul 24 '26

I'm actually replaying it again right now

1

u/CareNo5100 Jul 25 '26

Honestly never played it! What would you tell my girlfriend if I started tonight?

1

u/raziel11111 Jul 25 '26

I'm not following your question.

1

u/EllenPlayz Jul 29 '26

Go ahead :D
