Yeah the bigger guns do bigger damage, it’s more on the hilarious disparities on different bullet calibers. Watch the itsyabrandyboy video on helldivers guns if you’re more interested. Devs that preach realism with guns do not know enough about guns to be saying that.
Yeah? It’s been one of their major points on their balancing talks and especially in regards to “fun” weapons like the one true flag. They’ve really only recently started walking back the realistic milsim approach at least in their public communications
It was a sore point with the community because they kept nerfing good guns with the excuse of realism in a game that is completely unrealistic in pretty much every aspect.
They didn't use realism as an excuse all the time, just when convenient. So it made it even more annoying because there was no consistency
I think you can still look at old Steam Graph charts showing player counts cratering as they nerfed every single weapon into the dirt. To make it more fair for the fucking bugs and robots. Was so dumb.
Neither of my questions were insincere, though I understand how one might assume I know everything about Helldivers and their devs, but I don't. Just played a bunch a long while ago. Don't even know what pain point you're referring to here.
