BREAKING: Whistleblower Leaks Trump's Secret USPS Scheme, Explained
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySb4gPp_UHs4.8k
u/wwarnout 3h ago
After listening to the video, the part that is the most egregious violation of voter rights is this:
If a batch of 10,000 names has just one that does not match, the entire batch is rejected.
This is voter disenfranchisement on an enormous scale, and is indefensible.

u/TheRealBittoman 3h ago
Crazy part is a very significant portion of mail in ballots are submitted by people who tend to vote Republican every election. Military and elderly. I really don't understand what they're expecting.

More Democrats vote by mail than Republicans. Statistically, invalidating large batches of mail in votes will favor Republicans. Also, there is a remediation process, but if they focus on fixing batches in (R) counties, but neglect (D) ones, due to democratic counties being larger and having bigger batches to fix, then they can selectively exclude mail in ballots from particular counties by saying they couldn’t remediate them in time for the election. The. They will sue to not count ballots that weren’t counted within like 24 hours of Election Day, and they will win because our government is the most corrupt it has ever been in its history by a factor of 10.
→ More replies (4)•
u/dagrave 1h ago
It doesnt need to be big. Remember Georgia, just needed to find 10 or 11k votes? All they need is a few hundred here or there in swing states and you can win it.
→ More replies (1)35
u/zoinkability 2h ago
This is beyond classic voter suppression schemes, which were sophisticated attempts to get certain people not to vote, or to invalidate their votes. Of course those will be happening too, but this is an entirely different game.
The game here is not to surgically alter the vote, the game is to introduce mass chaos. If nobody knows who won the election because these was so much fuckery, that gives whoever is in power enormous leeway to force the narrative and the result they want.
36
u/brody319 3h ago
A pretext for further and harsher control later if it doesn't work. They arent smart and it doesnt really matter if they just keep being allowed to do this shit. They dont care about their own voters either, its not about democracy or winning the vote because they dont care about those things.
They care about maintaining power and control, thats it. Anything they do is to maintain or increase these things.
14
u/Majestic-Weather-824 2h ago
More nefariously, he could simply hire several associates to knowingly submit fraudulent ballots in blue districts.
18
u/VT_Squire 2h ago edited 2h ago
I really don't understand what they're expecting.
That it will take exponentially longer to repair the damage caused by this.
See if they like the outcome, they get to hold on to it. And if they dont, they'll just stare you right in the face and declare it was rigged. And if you agree with the last part, they'll just say "see, told ya so. You should vote for me, not that slow person." And if you disagree with them about that part, then it means you are tacitly agreeing to the results of the fraudulent voting process, so now they get to campaign based on the idea that your party is filled with fraudsters. Their whole shtick is a machiavellian attempt to frame politics as "gotcha" moments through the act of inverting basic sensibility and logic or any kind of burden of proof. They don't care what you say or do, they will argue you point for point with bad, disingenuous rhetoric, but they will always change the fucking subject the moment you bring up the fact that the call is coming from within the house. And people eat this tactic up because they're already pre-disposed to making special exceptions for their religion and such. They get away with it because they're plain willing to practice this sort of manipulative, corrupt politics. They said a long time ago that "the gloves are off" and this is what that meant.
So if it's gonna take longer than 2 years to fix it... you already have an idea of what the next presidential election is going to look like.

I have to imagine that in a batch of 10k ballots, the chance of one name not matching is like 99.99%
How many votes could even be processed under this scheme, like 5 nationwide?

In that way, you could ID entire areas of opposition party mail-in voters and have their votes nullified by having one bad actor submitting a bogus name.
So yeah, rigging elections.

The ones quickest to action have the best chance to win with this bullshit. Trump knew this- hence Jan 6th. The number of people that are just realizing their vote didn’t count in 2024 continues to grow. Hopefully we can close the loops and states can track real numbers of rejected votes before they move to certify any elections.

u/Berserker76 3h ago edited 3h ago
The insanity of the policy that if the USPS finds a single ballot in a batch that they deem to be invalid, they throw out the entire batch of ballots.
So one person moves or a woman gets married changes her last name and those ballots are deemed invalid in a batch of 100,000 ballots, they throw out and do not deliver all 100,000 ballots.
Enough already, Trump and the GOP will do whatever they can to derail the midterm election, it is revolution now or never.

The biggest defense of the upcoming elections was that Trump is not acting like he already plans to win. He was not acting confident. Nobody in his cabinet is acting confident. They have no reason to, because the tomfuckery they plan to pull is only going to marginally soften an inevitably painful blow to their hold on the government. The incoming blue wave of hatred against Trump and his ilk and all the pain and suffering he's induced on the average American over the past two years would be so powerful that he couldn't cheat his way out of it.
An election was going to happen, no attempt to cancel it would ever be acknowledge or humoured beyond letting him piss and moan and scream, and he was going to get his ass handed to him in that election.
Well it seems we overlooked the fact that he could just say "Democrat votes don't count", and the question is now "Where do we go from here?"
He's made it pretty clear that he knows he's going to lose, he plans to lose, and his strategy for avoiding the consequences of that loss is to just say "Democrats don't count".

They know the people don't have it in them to rise up, but they still need to have contingency plans if shit hits the fan. I bet you they have been ready for some type of push back with each new shitty directive they implement, only to find how apathetic we all seem to be. They will however keep thinking this, specially after this bullshit midterms they'll try to steal, and that's when they think we will have had enough. Fortunately for them, nothing short of a starving populace will mean no significant pushback and they will tread on past the midterms, finalize project 2025 (the systematic erosion of our liberties) and finally achieve their goal. Neo-feudalism with them as Kings and Lords, and the majority of us the peasants they exploit and torture at will. Grim times ahead.

Wild part is too that older republicans tend to vote majority by mail instead of dems who go to the polls
6
u/TurtleRockDuane 2h ago
While it is true that there may be some demographic of Republicans who largely vote by mail, the statistics show that by a pretty wide margin Democrats vote more by mail than to Republicans. So if you just get rid of mail in ballots you’re going to automatically reduce more democrat votes than Republican votes.

The only consequences possible involve extrajudicial consequences.
There will never, not ever, not in a billion trillion years, not if the next 7 presidents are all FAAAAAR left democrats with Dem majority house and senates, ever be any repercussions that go through the legal system.
Not ever.
At best will get some finger wagging and at least some (but absolutely not all) rollback of the things that happened during this administration.
And that is the absolute best case scenario.

Can anyone tell me why the USPS is screening ballots? Isn’t that up to the states to decide if a ballot is legitimate?
I understand what the GOP is trying to do here, I don’t need that explained. What I don’t understand is why a ballot that’s part of a state-run election is being “verified” by the USPS? What law allows them to act as a middleman?
Edit: In other words shouldn’t the USPS just be delivering the mail regardless of if it’s a Sears catalog or a ballot?
127
u/Cheezeball25 2h ago
Because the GOP couldn't find another way to throw away votes from blue areas. The states control the elections, but the feds control the postal service. They're just working with everything they can to rig the election in their favor.
No reasonable government would ever dream of pressing with a functioning postal service to rig elections, but that's not whose in charge now.

Wow, just wow!
As an Aussie, the fights you guys have over the simplest things about elections simply amaze me:
- Who can vote?
- Where can they vote?
- How long are the lines?
- How many voting stations are there?
- Can someone give them water?
- How do you know the person voting is who they say they are?
- What ID do you need?
- Can I vote early?
- Can I mail my vote?
The vested interests have the average American citizen so wound up in "the process", they've forgotten to consider the goal!
Get your SHIT together!
Here's how we do it down under:
- Everyone has to vote. It stops the extremes on both sides and makes politicians target the "middle", so we don't get wild policy swings after each election
- We make voting EASY! Basically every school in the country becomes a voting station one Saturday. Everyone turns up (they're close by definition), votes, has a chat with the neighbours, buys a 'Democracy sausage' (look it up!) to support a local group & goes home. It takes 10 minutes & you get fed!
- When you vote, you select who you want, and who you want next if that person doesn't win & so on. Your vote isn't "cancelled" if the candidate you selected is eliminated. It lets minor parties participate & win seats, especially in our Senate.
- If our PM is an unpopular asshole, we change them. No need to wait another 3 or 4 years for a new election, we just pressure the party in power & they do it.
- Our districts are drawn up by an independent body - no gerrymandering for us! The same body(AEC) also oversees the elections, so we don't have to worry about a State Govt trying to tilt things in their party's favour.
I guess at the end of the day, Australian's have a built-in concept of a "fair go" and it results in a much "fairer" electoral system than what you guys have.
→ More replies (7)•
u/therealstrait 1h ago
Hey bud, ironically a lot of the voting process you’ve described are being pushed as policy changes from the left wing of the American political spectrum. They are also considered too radical and impossible to implement and will cause the downfall of democracy by the right wing party because they know if voting is easy, they lose their shot at remaining in power. The right doesn’t do policy anymore, it’s just culture war and tax breaks/deregulation to benefit their donors (another thing the far left wants to get out of politics but is also considered radical).
•
u/FairDinkumMate 1h ago
I absolutely understand. My point was (is) that US parties have people arguing over "mail-in voting" & "voting poll locations" instead them fighting for the end of gerrymandering, instant runoff voting, & control over political lobbying and donations.
The politicians(& more importantly, their donors) are winning & you guys are fighting the results instead of the cause!

Plain and simple: it is not safe to vote by mail this year. Vote in person, either during early voting or vote on Election Day. Most states have extensive early voting periods.
