I have a pretty good idea about all the ticketing stuffs I'm worried about calling everything except the pull and drop which is pretty intuitive it's the marking that stumps me like for example someone asks for their grits in a bowl how would I call that. Any tricks would be greatly appreciated.

also for those introverts in the field how do y'all serve customers? like is there a flow state involved?

Do all waffle houses require the manager to come back for the shift change on days they worked?

I went to my WH store early on Wednesday morning, and ordered a classic waffle.  I’m told by the servers they can't serve waffles because the waffle bakers are down, due to no new plates.  The new plates are reported to be already on site, but the area manager refuses to let them be installed until Friday; two days later.  None of the employees there understand the reasoning, nor do the customers. To continue serving the only thing they'd need to add is a can of non-stick spray.  But, since the replacement non-stick parts are already there, ready to install, the business justification for this nonsense is very hard to understand, but especially at this "never closed" brand that prides itself on 100% availability, even when a natural disaster has taken out their power. Also very recently the missing ingredient from all stores around here is lettuce. Supposed to be something wrong with it, but how long does a recall like this last?

just found out one of my regulars was a pedo, he touched a non-verbal autistic boy and he laughing and smiling in my face, i simply refused to do service w a pedo. Sorry not sorry

i was told i’d get paid every thursday, but since im technically still “in training” would i get my first check this week.. well today? cause someone told me my first check would go to the company, another told me i’d receive it as a cash check mind u i get paid in direct deposit, and someone else said it should come today SINCE i get paid in direct deposit.

Is this in every waffle house or is mine special?

I have two stories.

1: one weekend a few years ago at the Ellijay Georgia location, sitting at the countertop as usual. i'm sitting there eating it's just a normal busy morning at this location. It's always crazy packed there. as I'm sitting there eating, on my phone, etc. I suddenly get soda splashed all over by the man next to me. it kind of stunned me a little bit for a couple seconds, then I turned to look at where it came from and the man was on the ground. I think he was having a heart attack or possibly a seizure. It was a crazy scene as he laid on the floor turning purple. Parents were rushing their kids out of there, girls were crying, complete chaos.

1. On a lighter note, one late night at the Panama City Beach Florida location, Thomas Drive, during spring break two young dudes were sitting next to me at the countertop. One of the dudes proceeded to bet his friend that he could drink a whole bottle of syrup. The cook gave him an entire fresh bottle that goes on the table, that fucking kid drank it all down and tried to do another one!!
