need help help! walkman doesn’t work

anyone know how to fix this walkman? it’s the D-EJ001. does this weird clicking noise. see video in comments for what it sounds like
should i just buy a new disc reader? feel like that would work after i solder/wire it in maybe

The clicking probably is the laser head going up and down. The center should be spinning try to spinning it with your finger, also you're missing one stud to support the disc. Probably need a new motor for the center part or need lubricant.

yea the stud fell out in shipping but im sure itll be okay.

I once destroyed my panasonic cd player becouse I plugged it to the bad adapter so i burned the mechanism then there were the same issues but it didnt worked anymore so… did you tried plugging it to the suspicious cables with too high wotage? (Sorry for bad english)
