App/Tech Those of you with 23 points as your daily allowance - what is your protein goal?

I'm curious if it's only based on calories/points, or if it's different for everyone.

I feel like my current protein goal of 122 grams seems excessive and hard to reach without supplementing with "fake" protein sources like powders/shakes/bars.

I was sad and now I am not. This journey has been pretty amazing. I am about 11 pounds from my ultimate goal but at this point i am waiting for a dexa scan to recalibrate.

If you read this keep going. It works if you work it.

Tips and Tricks 10 points for sushi dinner

I'm going out to dinner tomorrow, and I usually budget about 10 points for dinner.

What are you go-tos for sushi that are in the 10-15 point range?

Edit: specifically rolls, or pieces of rolls. Like 1 pt per piece of a california roll?

General Advice Rejoining online

I joined online almost a year ago through a $10/ month special. I’m actually using a glp-1 and use the app only as a food diary so, out of curiosity, I went to my setting and chose to decline the automatic rejoin when my time is up. They came back with a special offer of $8 per month. Can I get lower than that? Anything lower around Black Friday? If not, I’ll probably just quit when my time is up…. I was using the Healthi app before and it’s almost identical. And less $.

Blue Plan Alum

I just signed up for WW again. I did it in 2021 and was super successful on the Blue Plan. Then they changed to the personalized plan and I fell apart.

Is the current plan an improvement on personalized points? And maybe a bit more like Blue?

Recipes Blending cottage cheese

A *LOT* of the low-point dessert recipes involve blending cottage cheese.

My blender does great with smoothies...but can't handle the cottage cheese mixtures.

Do I really need to buy a new blender? I don't really have any money.

Is there some way to make it work?

Zero Point Foods Ugh hungry day today

I know to lean on zero point foods but I already used up my calories too and it’s not even dinner. What do you do in that case?

Prior authorization

I’ve been getting meds through WW for 1.5 years the authorization was up this month and WW said it came back denied because it’s no longer covered I told WW my portal says it’s covered so I called my insurance to make sure and they said it is still covered under my plan because my job specifically said they wanted to keep it and insurance gave me the clinical pharmacy number for WW to do the approval that way so hopefully it gets worked out

An Incredibly Specific Activity Points Question

Hi! I've been using WW for around 3 years, though have admittedly not been as consistent over the last year due to starting a new job and not being able to cook or exercise due to a foot injury.

That said, I'm finally ready to get back into tracking, and I also now have an Apple Watch to help with my activity. I don't belong to a gym, but I usually use an app called Workout for Women that has a bunch of different routines. I also go on walks and try to bike some trails on the weekends.

Before I had a watch, I would track the calories each Workout for Women routine was said to burn and add the total calories + time to my Health app. This would usually yield at least 8-10 points a day. When biking, I would track Mountain Biking (low impact) on WW and subtract 30 mins from my time since I definitely wasn't mountain biking. Still, I would get upwards of 12 points on these workouts.

Now that I have a watch, I have many more workout tracking options available. No need to do any more math. However, a 3 hour bike ride last weekend only yielded 5 points, and 2 hours of Workout for Women routines this morning only yielded 3 points (I tracked these activities as Outdoor Cycling and Functional Strength Training, respectively).

If there is anyone on WW who uses apps with preset routines like Workout for Women and also has an Apple Watch, how do you track activities in the most accurate way possible? If I rely on my Apple Watch, I'll have less activity points and therefore eat less, which isn't the worst option, since I'm the biggest I've been in my entire life. Of course, I was definitely giving myself way too many points with my past methods. Is there any sort of in between?

Thank you!

Where do I find the points rollover setting?

I’ve scoured the app and googled where to find the setting, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Points calculation

Hey group. I have been on WW for a couple of years on and off after having reach my goal weight. I’m getting back into it to help lose some of the weight I gained back. I have a quick question regarding overall calculations.

I’m the morning, while at work, I use a sugar free powdered coffee creamer. I can use up to 1.5 tsp for 0 points. Usually all I have is the 1 cup of coffee and I’m good, but every now then, when it’s slow, I’ll make a cup in the afternoon. When I track this for my Lunch or Snack, do I do another 1.5 tsp for 0 points, as it would be tracked separate from Breakfast, or would you make it cumulative (3 tsp), which would equate to 1 point, as it’s the same product, just an added serving.

Is this a scam or am I misunderstanding?

I signed up for weight watchers weight loss drug program, they have submitted to my insurance for zepbound and I was denied I received a letter in the mail from SmithRx stating the reason for my denial was because the information submitted stated that the use of the drug would be for Gastro-esophageal reflux disease, and that the drug Zepbound specifically is not approved for that purpose. Why would weight watchers submit coverage for something that the drug specifically is not approved for? In my head it is almost automatically going to be denied because the drug is not approved for the issue they are trying to get it approved for, gastro-esophageal. I am now being asked to submit an appeal by SmithRx where a provider needs to prove or show proof that I need the medication covered for gastro-esophageal how is a Dr going to approve an issue I do not have? I never stated I had the issue I was never told they were submitting for this issue. They are giving me a hard time about canceling the membership I feel scammed 😂 it almost feels like they intentionally submitted for a drug they knew wouldn’t be covered so I’d have to pay out of pocket. I am currently still waiting on the results on if wegovy will be covered however I have little to no hope

Not tracking everything

Is there a way to combine intuitive eating with weight watchers? I find WW too restrictive and I can only do it for a few weeks before I get too burnt out and hungry.
Does anyone use some of the principles but are intuitive with portions, or not tracking all meals if whole foods etc?
(Please no snarky comments)

Glp1 and travel

Members who are using the glp1 plan and have flown. Please tell me what you used to keep it cold and that was permitted by TSA. This is a new experience for my husband. He flies out on Tuesday and we need to plan accordingly.

Canceling - Dark Patterns

Weight Watchers cancelation is super deceptive.

I like weight watchers. I feel like the general vibe of weight watchers works for me and those I know without being an elimination diet. Everyone I know who has used WW has lost weight.

What I hate is the gimmicks used with the current weight watcher management, app, and website. There are so many dark patterns. It's near impossible to do anything on their website, where account management should be an option. Cancelling a subscription should never take 4 button pushes of "yes I'm sure", and I can't cancel it because it's on another persons phone under my account, but I can't access my account because there is no page I can find that allows me to see my account, just sign up and promos and a wonky home page.

I don't mind the 12 months discount. I don't mind advertising different levels of subscription. I don't mind so many things... but it is very clear that they want to make it really difficult when it's time to move on.

App/Tech Where can I see my tracked activity now?

I was on WW for about a year then fell off for about a year and have decided to start again this week. The app is completely different though. Where can I see the activity/exercise that I've tracked?

I'm able to click on the blue plus sign on the homepage to track the activity but not to see what's been tracked. Am I just completely overlooking it? Thanks!
