This was installed into our in ceiling heating/air unit over night at my job. It was never been there before and my coworker was panicking and making a fuss about it.

Any chance the lights switch on automatically when you enter the room? This looks a lot like the motion detectors my job just put in for its auto light system. No camera in it.

Nope, the lights are not automatic and the building is never empty because someone is stationed here 24/7.
