I actually tried "rocky mountain oysters" at a restaurant once. Tasted... musky.

On the prairies they are called “Prairie Oysters”.
My hubby grew up on a cattle ranch and said they are chewy to eat.

If they're prepped and cooked properly, they're not chewy at all. My in-laws were VFW members. (Late '90s, early 2K's) 2x a year they would have RMO dinners. $12 for 2 styrofoam to-go containers full. So so so so good.
