Depends on the context

Female is more of an adjective than Woman/Girl is

So like, "my female boss" or "my boss who is a girl"

The second one still feels better probably because of connotation but still

I still think saying "my boss who is a girl" is still weird cus it implies she is younger and childish, kinda saying you are still above her even thou she is your boss

Just say "my boss, she did this and that", context clue is fine, if they didn't caught that just say "she, not he". Idk, even saying woman boss is still weird cus it implies every boss is a man if not said otherwise

Just do what Portuguese does and make the word itself gendered, bosso or bossa
