If there was an exception I would say Mumen Rider from OPM. He simultaneously gave everyone hope whilst getting his ass beat.

In the eyes of maybe a lot of the characters in the show, I would imagine as much. Hard in a world full of super-powered beings to be taken seriously when all you seem to have is a bicycle. But after that moment I think everyone had a lot more respect for him.

Genos is the main character and everyone else is comic relief. We just see the story from the perspective of that one comic relief character who randomly shows up and cleans house when he does.

He’s introduced as a dude with a helmet riding a bike fighting in a world where the bad guys could easily kick MCU Thor’s ass. He was definitely presented as comical in the context of the world, though with hindsight it was clearly so the author could give him his amazing moment.
