MEGA SPOILERS: Then they fucking revived him like a Dragon Ball character and it pissed me off so much because it just defeats the entire point of his heroic/emotional sacrifice in the first place

only if you bother with the secret ending, which I sure didn't. Overall vibe of that game was cool, but god the plot was a mess.

The most gorgeous pixel art you've ever seen, a great combat system, lots of fun gameplay elements and great exploration, and all of that paired with the most fucking ass story of all time. I've played RPG Maker games full of spelling errors with a less annoying story, my god.

that's such a solid summation. the whole betrayal arc makes no sense, there's no room to sympathize with the villains because they barely have any motivation at all. the end boss has zero emotional impact where it really shouldÂ
