Not to mention the stuff in Pt 5. He literally dies, but still hangs around as a ghost

I was confused about the pt 5 thing too, isn’t a stand supposed to be the physical embodiment of the soul of its user? How would he still have a ghost after using the stand arrow to send his stand away? Are ghosts and souls different in JoJo or did I misunderstand the scene?

Also on the note of stands being the soul of its user, I like how Hol Horse had the soul of a limited range handgun, which got powercrept by rat rifle in the very next part, imagine getting soulmogged by a rat

A stand is quite literally your fighting spirit. Your soul is something different though the two are connected as seen in part 5
