Average JK Rowling fan. They did this exact shit when she talked about a trans person who she was apparently friends with. She referred to that friend as "she" and her supporters were still going out of their way to "correct" with "he" and "him" for that person.

Purposefully using them wrong here means using incorrect pronouns. Its like a double negative in queer speak.
