even when its used for games like gta which tries to be realistic, it just ends up looking like a screenshot ran through chatGPT

And besides, why would you want literally every game you play to look like an AI generated video?

Because it literally IS just running every frame of a game through the chatbot, that's why it looks like this.

People shouldn't be surprised that the fuckass plagiarism machine produces shitty plagiarism-style output.

There is nothing to do with a chatbot in DLSS 5. I know not everyone here thinks that is the case, but that's a really silly preconception a lot of people are basing their arguments on about AI more generally.

"Chatbot" means an LLM. It is strictly a different technology than DLSS 5, and anyone suggesting they are the same is simply broadcasting their ignorance and inflicting preconceived notions on a topic they are lacking a basic understanding of. And you suggesting that pointing that out is not substantial to the discussion is doing the same. There is no semantic argument to be had.

There are similarities between the underlying mechanisms of both technologies, starting with the fact that they both use a transformer architecture at their core. If that's the discussion the user I responded to wanted to have, they wouldn't have made a fool of themselves and blocked the person correcting them immediately because they can't tolerate their naive and fragile worldview being contradicted.
