Just get a nice even coverage, then wax or varnish it. Tell everyone it's your own personally mixed wood stain

Eating raspberries while carving is sure to stain your work :p but for real though, don't let this stop you, learn from your accident and keep at it. Also try keeping your fingers out of thr way next time:p

Keep going (after you heal) as Bob Ross says "a happy little accident". Make it part of the piece or sand it off. Probably won't be your last wound lol

Yeah, a lot of mine look like this too. I currently have plasters over the end of both of my thumbs after making a stupid mistake yesterday

I have yet to carve my first, so I have no room to judge; but I know how to joke. Seriously, I am here admiring everyone's work, before I jump in (still waiting for some basswood to arrive at my doorstep).
