A movie ahead of it's time with some notable names.

Behind the smiles and the “normal” lives, everyone has their own strange little corners, their fears, and their imperfections. Some are simply better at hiding theirs. We’re all just trying to make sense of ourselves in our own way.

One of my favorite movies from one of my favorite directors. Saw it new in the theater when I was a kid and couldn’t have loved it more. Have you seen it and if so what did you think of this silly “little” gem?

It was a little thing he put in his hand and squeezed, and it was basically a fart machine. It was like a handheld whoopee cushion, and he just played it like a maestro. Your eyes would be watering, you're laughing so hard."

Oh, yeah, the little known strange Robert Altman film of the 80’s with a young Jon Cryer. Actually filmed in 1983 but not released until 1987 because it was so weird the studio had no idea what to do with it. I ran into on HBO in 88 or 89 and I was immediately transfixed by how damn weird it was. Calling Bongo in Ghana to run up the “SCHWAAAB’s” phone bill, the crazy jacked up Studebaker, and the obsession with King Sunny Ade. Just so much weirdness it was perfect. I can’t be the only one to have watched this under appreciated gem back in the day, can I?

Wonder whatever happened to Chainsaw and Dave. Were they behind the Scream franchise? Are they doing local theater and in charge is the annual haunted house? Are they huge slasher film collectors and just missed the guys from pickers. I have questions.

Man, the first time watching this movie I was like "that old man just kiss that teenager lol! wth"   Doctor Dan's 3rd party love affair gone wrong lol. That's how I describe this film. I remember back then they hated this cause it's kinda out of place and people are looking for Michael Myers. But to be fair, it's is still a fun horror movie on its own rights.
