I sent my sweet girl over the rainbow bridge today after 15 years. She had thyroid disease, either IBD or intestinal cancer (too old for further diagnostics), and was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. She quit eating so we took her in thinking we’d be able to do sub q fluids to liven her up. Turns out she had a mass at least the size of an egg (as a 5 pound cat) and her prognosis of days to a week. So we let her go and be free but I’m absolutely devastated and I’m so heartbroken.
