There’s also an Early Adopter badge. If you pass by February 15, 2027, you get the extra badge alongside the certification.

Seems like an interesting addition to the AWS certifications, especially for people working closer to AI strategy and business decisions

I studied for the MLA during my trip back to Ireland (had a big layover). Compared to ANS, this one felt like a walk in the park, mostly because I already have a lot of experience with AI from personal projects.

I would say that if you deal with AI on a daily basis, even as a hobbyist, you don’t even need to study for this exam.

I plan to take either AIP or SCS next. We’ll see.

I currently have 3 AWS certifications: DEA-C01, SAA-C03, and CLF-C02, and I’m also going for DVA-C02, mostly because my boss is offering me a pretty nice bonus for getting it 😅

I’m a Data Engineer, and that’s still my main area of interest and the direction I want to keep growing in.

My question is: I’ve seen people display their AWS certifications on LinkedIn in a bunch of different ways, for example:

• AWS Certified x3 / x4
• AWS Certified
• AWS Certified Data Engineer
• Listing individual certifications in the headline

In my case, I like “AWS Certified Data Engineer” because it aligns well with what I actually do, but I wonder if I’d be missing out on opportunities by basically “hiding” my other certifications, especially SAA-C03, and potentially DVA-C02 if I pass it.

How do you guys show your certifications on LinkedIn or other professional platforms?

Do recruiters actually care about seeing AWS Certified x4, or is it better to keep the headline focused on your main role/specialization?

Passed after two attempts. For me, the exam was really hard, and the main reason is that I'm initially a Data Architect/Data Engineer, and I realized that I had VERY limited knowledge of AWS services, mostly in networking.

Man this was struggle for me. I passed finally. I thought I failed but I passed the developer associate exam. Thanks to reddit and whoever recommended to get exam accommodation. Barely passed but I will take it.

I’ve got my exam coming up in 22 days and I’ve studied starting this past week and this past Saturday took a TD exam and got a 79%.

I have seen alot of people on here talking about the TD (Tutorial Dojo) practice exams being some of the closest content to the exam out there. But have seen that Stephan Marrek has some to that I haven’t touched.

Am I off to a good start at a 79% and just need to continue what I’m doing studying? Or from your experience, should I be worried? Also are Stephen’s practice exams worth it?

I’m writing this mostly out of frustration with my own naive mistake, hoping someone from the AWS community or staff might see this and help out. Also, consider this a recommendation: DO NOT use Apple’s "Hide My Email" when creating your AWS Skill Builder ID. Learn from my mistake, it’s a huge trap!

For those unfamiliar, Apple’s "Hide My Email" keeps your Apple ID account active but replaces your actual email with a randomly generated `at privaterelay.appleid.com` address to forward messages. I have a habit of using it everywhere, so when I signed up for AWS Skill Builder, I automatically clicked "Sign in with Apple." Everything seemed fine - I studied hard, scheduled my AWS Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) exam, and passed it, paying for it out of my own pocket.

The nightmare started when I tried to claim my Credly badge. I realized that my Skill Builder profile permanently hard-locked my Credly badging email to that uneditable `at privaterelay.appleid.com` address, which silently drops all third-party verification emails. I was super hyped to showcase my result, but now my Credly badge is stuck in limbo.

To fix this, I registered a brand new, proper AWS profile using my personal email and password, and then submitted a support ticket to merge the old Apple relay profile into my clean personal account.

It’s been over 10 days now (submitted Aug 21), and I’ve been constantly checking my inbox with no updates. I really want to keep my momentum going - I'm fully prepared and ready to take the AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) right now. However, I’m holding off on booking it because I don't want to make an even bigger mess of my exam history until this merge gets resolved and I have a clean certification record.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and can share how it was resolved? What timeline or outcome should I expect, considering the email addresses on my two AWS accounts obviously don't match (one is a random ⁠`at privaterelay.appleid.com⁠` and the other is my personal ⁠`at gmail.com⁠`)? If any AWS team member happens to see this, I’d be extremely grateful if you could help escalate my case. I just want to clean up my mistake, get a clear picture of what happens next, and finally take my AIF-C01.

Anyone else not like the 15 mysterious unscored questions that Amazon adds to exams? I don't have a great deal of experience with their exams, I just tried to obtain a cert for a second one. The extra 15 do not sit well with me.

They are a double-edged sword, certainly, but I'd rather not have the potential help and save myself lost time screwing around with questions that may or may not add to my score.

My last test was very tricky in my opinion. To the point of too much effort is put in to trip people up subtly. Being I had only a handful of minutes left, I got really sour about which unnecessary questions I potentially spent extra time on to answer.

My understanding is these are tougher and are there by Amazon, kind of like as a survey to see how good or bad most people do on them.

I couldn't help but notice some questions were either very wordy, the answers were very wordy, or both were. Obviously you never know which questions were legit or not. I just feel it's a bad choice to include this tactic.

I wasn't expecting so many different modes

There are randomized tests, timed mode, review mode, section-based tests, topic-based tests, etc., and now I'm a little confused about how I should actually approach them.

Is there a particular order you guys recommend?

I'm thinking of taking a randomized test today just to test the waters and see where I currently stand (i already finished the stephane Marek practice exams for SAA)

Any advice on which mode to start with, how often to take it and how to review mistakes would be really appreciated.

I am studying for the AWS Security Specialty exam. I already hold the Solutions Architect - Associate certification. I took the security exam 5 months ago and failed with 737... After that, I revised Stephane Maarek's course and solved his practice exams. Once I finished the first round, I reviewed my mistakes, and now I get around 80-85% success rate. What do you suggest? Should I take the exam this month? Are Stephane Maarek's practice exams enough for the real exam?

This is the first proctored exam i took and i was soo tensed that i had a migraine throughout my test.

But after seeing the result as pass, i was sooooo relieved

I work for OutSystems, and AWS and OutSystems have announced a joint collaboration to deliver a powerful suite of AI capabilities to developers and companies (see links at the end of the post).

As part of that collaboration, we ran a limited campaign to offer free AWS Foundational Certification and a free OutSystems Foundational Certification here in the community, throughout July and August, which you all adhered to.

After the first week's immense interest in our AWS/OutSystems campaign, our second week post, and our third one we have so far given up over 160 free exams to community members.

For the first two weeks of September we have a total of 30 new AWS Foundational Certifications to giveaway as well as OutSystems Certifications. From today until September 13th end of day we will take all registrations we can get, and then on the morning of Monday the 14th we will randomly draw the 30 AWS Foundational Certifications by all participants so far who have not yet received one, including previous participants.

I'm a nanotechnologist by degree (graduated in May), but I've been working since last year — first implementing an ERP and building n8n workflows for a bidding company, then moving into a consultant role where I build n8n/Power Automate workflows and manage a document management system for clients. I also run a side project with a friend selling AI agents/WhatsApp chatbots and RPA automations for businesses.

Along the way I got a PMP (I'd already managed projects as an intern, so I just had to study for the exam), then got into DevOps — Linux, Bash, Docker — and recently earned my CKA, since I'm drawn to SRE and Kubernetes work.

My background isn't technical on paper, but I want to break into a genuinely technical role. I'm already running Kubernetes in production for my side project (currently on a Hostinger VPS, though I'd like to move it to AWS once the numbers make sense), and I'm now studying for AWS Solutions Architect Associate to round out my cloud skills.

My worry: how realistic is it to land a first "real" technical job with this path, and would switching now likely mean taking a pay cut given my limited formal experience — even though I know I can perform?

The answer should be FLEXIBLE RETRIEVAL, which ironically isn't even an option. Deep Archive will likely result in a retrieval time OVER 12 hours.

I’m a full-stack developer, mainly Python + React, and I already have some hands-on experience with AWS, Azure and GCP. I’m trying to move more towards LLM / GenAI engineering, so I’d also like to actually understand the concepts rather than just memorize exam questions.

So far I’ve been using AWS Skill Builder and doing some practice tests, but I feel like I could use some additional material.

I'm a platform/software engineer and I hold multiple certifications. At some point I got the idea to make studying for certs more visual/fun, so I ended up creating PlayCloudBlocks.

I opened a Beta and we created a community of 200+ users.

Currently, we have mock exams available for SAA, but I can't wait to get more feedback from the community and create mock exams for more certifications.

It's kind of hard to describe how the mock exams work - they're the traditional multiple choice you're used to - except there's a visual/puzzle element.

My hope and goal is to make studying for certifications a more engaging (less dry) experience. I really hope that PlayCloudBlocks helps increase scores for users on the real exam.
