It's done really well this year. Seed grown tree, now exactly 6 years old.

This year was its last chance. If it didn't give a decent crop this year, it was for the chop. It flowered well the tw years previous, but in 24 it produced no fruit at all, and last year only about 8 fruit.

It gets peach leaf curl every spring, despite winter sprays with Bordeaux mixture, as one would expect in my damp mild winter climate, but it always bounces back well.

The fruit are not quite ripe yet. They already taste quite nice, but are still rather hard, and I think they can still get sweeter. Another week or two, I think.

I am adding a dwarf fruit tree to my townhouse backyard. One half the yard is a little garden and I get space and good light for a tree on the other side so I thought I’d ask here for any suggestion.

Im in zone 7b. Right now I’m looking at a dwarf fig, cherry (Juliet?), or peach. Any feedback or things I should be thinking of? Better tree options? Once it goes in the ground, its official!

So I'm in NJ pine barrens, I'm attempting to make an estimated harvest chart for my (hopefully eventually successful) mini orchard. I've checked the pollination requirements should be met, but some of the trees are still very young. This year I lost all fruit (except my pixie crunch apples) due to a long late deep freeze at the end of April, but I'm hoping I may get something next year. Does anyone know if these estimated harvest dates look about right for my area? Or have a good reference for this information? I used the Rutgers info on as many as I could since that is the local land grant university for me...

My state had a spring seedling sale, and I picked up 10 (supposedly) Morus rubra. I have 4 of the 10 left alive, and I'm hoping that these are true M. rubra and not just misidentified M. alba or a hybrid of rubra and alba. I've attached some numbered pictures for each of the 4 trees. Anyone have any guidance on the likelihood that these are M. rubra? From the multiple sources I could potentially get them from, all of the sources obtain their specimens from Alpha Nursery in Holland Michigan. When I called the nursery I was told that they collect seed from the wild and "won't touch white mulberry with a 10 ft pole" Most of them have a top that feels somewhere around 400grit sandpaper if that helps at all

Do I need to cut this off? This is on my leader and if I cut it I worry it'll have some growth issues.

I’ve had this apple tree since April (was a gift). It has 5 apples grafted onto it (I believe they are gravenstein, Macintosh, Cortland, liberty and lido). For the most party it’s done ok aside from pests chewing on it a bit but these started popping up recently and I think they’re galls but wanted to get some community insights to be sure.

Hello! When I left for vacation, this pear tree I planted last year looked fine. Three weeks later it looks like this. Two cherry trees next to it aren’t doing much better. Any ideas what’s happening? Please advise.

Based in North UK, zone 8. I planted my first maiden fruit trees October 2025, without reading they should not be winter pruned, I cut the central leader off this plum in Feb 2026. Every day's a school day 😊

It’s a mikan tree (type of Japanese citrus) and I just put it in the ground. ChatGPT is telling me to not prune it right now but that long branch is just making it so imbalanced and I’m afraid it’s gonna be whipping around in the wind. What would you do? Hi! I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations for grape varieties that will grow well in zone 7. I was specifically looking for an American variety if possible, & I was hoping for a red or black grape thats sweet and good for eating but doesnt have that almost "artificial" grape flavor that some varieties have.
