Are there any companies hiring for seasonal winter jobs in the brainerd area?

I’ll be moving to the Brainerd area in the next few months. Where I currently live, we have a "chit chat" group where people share local events, ask questions, give recommendations, and post pretty much anything related to the community.

Does Brainerd or the surrounding area have a similar group? I’ve searched, but I can only seem to find local buy-and-sell pages.

I grew up in MN finding Lake Superior Agates for most of my life, have been out of state for the last six years and will be visiting my family in Baxter in two weeks. Was hoping someone might be able to point me in the direction of parking and or ways to sneak into any of the rock pits around town. Willing to wake up at 5AM to get there and out before folks might be patrolling the pit. Also down for any rocky beaches along lakes or rivers nearby.

I know this isn’t exactly the post folks want to see or hear about lol, but please DM me if you have any information, I’ve looked at some of the pits and surrounding areas on Google Maps to do some preliminary research. Just really hoping to head home with a couple of nice stones to scratch the itch. When I visit my friends in the cities we just go back to our old stomping grounds. Thanks in advance! 🙏🤘

Me and my family are potentially moving to the area this spring, just curious as to how the manufacturing job market is there. I come from management and the knowledge in building/wiring machines with strong mechanical skills. Is there much in that industry there?

My wife and I decided to come up here for some fishing this weekend. We went out on pelican this afternoon and our four wheeler wouldn't start so we had to walk off. It was a mile walk to get back home and we are dead tired. Would anyone be willing to give me a ride out to my shack and wheeler tomorrow around noon time?
