I got my PPO like two weeks back, but the reality is just hitting me. Holy shit I did it guys! Hahahahahahahahahaha oh my god I cannot believe this!

after reading his posts i am feeling so sad for him, like couple of guys gave r@pe threats to his mother(video is available on his profile) and upon confrontation, one of their girls put false allegations on this guy and he was suspended from college

He is pretty average in studies, 90%ile in J*E, then 25k rank in comedk, so last month he decided not to go in any of the traditional engineering colleges and choose this new age college bosscoder, located in Bangalore.

He will be paying a total of 28L on his 4 years of degree including hostel and mess.

I don't know if this was a good decision or not because he said that it's the very first batch of this college. It just started this year💀, isse pehle ye bosscoder koi academy thi jaha bachho ko bas skills sikhate the industry ke liye.

So dekha jaaye toh kaafi risk hai. But let's see where it goes. What do you think?

Can anybody share the data of ongoing intern season at IITB/D. Intern stats of many other IITs are available at Reddit couldn’t find one for Bombay and Delhi though

Im 2026 graduate and after 3 months of unemployment, I got two offers and Im stuck between them. want some outside perspective.

Offer 1

• DevOps role
• On-site in Bangalore
• ₹70k/month
• I already have DevOps internship experience (6 months)

Offer 2

• Backend role
• Fully remote
• ₹55k/month
• Would be my first proper backend role

The main thing making this difficult is the career direction.

I already have DevOps experience, so joining another DevOps role would let me go deeper into that path. But I also want to explore backend engineering.

The ₹15k/month difference matters, but Bangalore relocation/living costs also eat into the difference.

Remote is another big factor for me. I want to have enough time and energy for my own projects and personal goals outside work.

At the same time, I have heard that being on-site early in your career can be much better for learning, networking, and building relationships.

So basically:

₹70k + DevOps + on-site + continue building on existing experience

vs.

₹55k + Backend + remote + explore a new direction

What would you choose in my position?

Would you prioritize going deeper into DevOps, or getting backend experience even if it means taking a ₹15k lower stipend?

I also had Intern + PPO then job switch, so total 3 YOE seeing the corporate facade, so here are some of my personal tips which I have learned.

1. Don't attach your self-worth to the company: So I was also placed with a great package in a good company, and what did I do? I made the company and the work I was doing there my whole personality. You should not do this because it will be difficult for you when the company backstabs you for promotion or hike, you will feel cheated.
2. Don't overshare: In corporate, you will go to a lot of team activities and colleagues drinking around you. Please don't lower your guard and start sharing personal or anything like you have some disease, stress, etc. Whatever you speak literally becomes a bullet point in your manager's head (that's not bad - that's their job - they need something to distinguish people).
3. Don't make friends in your same org chart: This is very common that people make friends in their team as well, but I would not suggest it, because friends fight and if something goes wrong, it will make your office life bad. Make friends from far-off org charts.
4. Don't glaze seniors: You might think that it's working, but they have seen hundreds of people like you in internship. It doesn't affect them.
5. If you perform well, doesn't mean you will get PPO: This is because of business needs. Your team should have a full-time position opening and work planned in the last month, then only they will give PPO. It's not on you or them - it's just business.
6. Upskill: Learn at work. If some work is assigned, take the opportunity to learn its adjacent topics to help you switch or look for a job when you don't get PPO.

And the last but not the least dont FALL in love espcially in your own fukin team. I have done it and regret till date ( unless you are rule 1 and 2 follower )

Didn't get shortlisted by most of the companies I applied for.

At one point I had started assuming that maybe I was just not good enough.

Then one company finally gave me a chance.

Cleared the OA.

Cleared the interview.

Got the internship.

The whole process took less time than I spent overthinking whether I was doing enough 😂

No fancy college, no insane CP rating, just kept applying and preparing.

So yeah, posting this mainly because there might be someone here who is currently in that exact “nothing is working” phase.

Keep going.

Bonus tip: For OAs, OAHelper can be useful for getting familiar with company-wise patterns.

After 3 rejections and countless hours of preparation i finally got placed tdy!!!

I understand you can ask for on site internship through cold mail or at times university themselves open application but how do you ask for a remote internship?

When i was in school, I use to think that especially Physics professors must be chill and happy as they must be well paid and are quite experienced for sure! As our Physics teacher was just physically and mentally ill and would also behaved like a hooligan in class.

The same happens in college also🥀the professor seems to be kinda rude types. As if he doesn't like kids at all and is teaching as if someone forced him to do so! Absolutely he teaches really well. But at the same time he's quite short tempered. Especially he can't tolerate the backbenchers as they never answer questions, so he just randomly roasts them with lame jokes.
