Grew up (spiritually) on the OC Supertones, some Five Iron Frenzy, but when seeking more horn-fueled punk, all I find are old, broken up bands. Some are still good stuff, but would love to hear and support anyone still skanking for God.

I'm looking for a Christian singer/songwriter whose music I downloaded from their website in around 2008 and have since lost. It was sung by a woman, guitar and drums, and generally had a driving rhythm.
One song went "...horse and rider you have hurled into the sea. And you reign forever, yes you reign forever, Lord you reign forever on high x2".
I think the same author also wrote a song with the lyrics "The morning star, my sword and shield, lily of the valley, my living word..."
I don't remember the rest of the lyrics. A couple more half-remembered songs:
"the truth of your word says that I am forgiven. The truth of your word says that I am set free. ... The truth of your word says you're Living in me. You see me through the blood of the lamb. Clothed in his righteousness it's by grace that I am standing here, knowing I'm forgiven".
And yet another song goes "clap your hands all you people, shout to God with shouts of joy. How awesome is the lord most high, the great king over all the earth"
Any ideas, anyone? I think her name might have been Carol, but I'm not 100% on that

The NTSB report came out on Aug. 24, sharing the final details on what contributed to the deaths of three members of gospel music group The Nelons, and four others on the plane on July 26, 2024.

SOLVED! Several of you nailed it; itās Sun, Moon and Stars by Hoi Polloi! DeliciousMagician posted a link in the comments to the song on YouTube. This song is top notch for the genre and the era. If you havenāt heard the song, you definitely need to check it out. Iāve been trying to remember who the band was for a number of years now!! and you guys solved it in less than 24 hours. Thanks, everyone!
āāāāāāā-
Iām trying to remember the name of a Christian female fronted alternative/ rock band. I think itās from the 90s, possibly the very early 2000s. they had this song that I really liked, and Iāve been searching all over the Internet to find out who this band is, and I havenāt been able to find it, Google Gemini and ChatGPT have not yet been able to find it.
Iām fairly sure it was recorded sometime around 1997ā2003, possibly a little earlier or later. It was by a relatively obscure female-fronted Christian band, not one of the major CCM artists. I remember it as a real alternative-rock band with distorted electric guitars, bass and drums, rather than a contemporary worship group.
The song had a mid-tempo 6/8 (possibly 3/4) feel. I would estimate the underlying tempo at around 78 BPM.
I think the song may have been called āSun, Moon, Stars,ā although thatās not certain.
Here are the lyrics as I remember them:
āVerse 1: Youāve been so close to me
I canāt believe where you have been
In the corners of my mind
Verse2: Youāve been so good for me
I canāt believe what you have done
In the shadows of my heart
Pre-chorus:ā¦burning like fireā¦desire
Chorus: Sun, moon, and stars all bow to who you are
The great affection has seized my heart.ā
Some of the wording may be slightly different, but Iām pretty confident about most of these phrases.
Iāve considered Fleming & John, but I donāt think theyāre the artist, although I think itās in the same vein.
Does anyone recognize this song or band? Iām particularly interested in anyone who was deeply familiar with the late-90s/early-2000s Christian alternative-rock scene, including smaller/independent labels.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
