Wanted to share a lane that's working. Independent pharmacies (around 20,000 in the US) are getting squeezed by chains and Amazon, and delivery is one of the few ways they keep patients. Most can't run their own delivery, so they'll contract an independent driver.

Startup cost was basically nothing, I already had the car. The pitch that worked wasn't "hire me to drive." It was "I'll get your patients their meds on time, with proof of every delivery, so you never lose a patient or eat a dispute." Solving their fear, not asking for a favor. Landed a couple of pharmacies that way.

Happy to answer questions if anyone's trying to break into local delivery contracts. What's the hardest part you're hitting?

Did everything they tell u to do multiapp, 2 catering, 2 shopping, 2 food delivery and misc roadie and money has stayed the same. That's because none of these apps ever get better once u start it always declines, for me especially grubhub and spark. I've literally signed up for another ride share type app that deals with kids. My gig app experience now is if you don't land a nice catering order to mask the other bad 6 or 7 hours of average pay u are screwed, was never like that before, u could grind your way to money by using your apps. This is first time I feel like I need to do homecare work again

We’re based in Aurora and do wholesale bakery deliveries to cafes and coffee shops around the Denver area. We’re looking for a reliable courier service that can handle recurring routes.

One issue we keep running into is proof of delivery. Some customers need signed invoices, and it gets messy when paperwork goes missing or we have to chase down whether an order was actually received.

Does anyone use a Denver courier service that can:

collect signed invoices at each stop?

provide photo or signature proof of delivery?

keep delivery records organized so we can check them later?

Mostly looking for something that works well for recurring wholesale routes, not one-off deliveries.

I just wanna know where is everyone clicking to get a job in Germany (Driver, Courier). What’s your source of listings?

I've been thinking about the daily schedule a lot for multi-stop local couriers and gig drivers. As far as I can tell, there isn't a good tool that actually lets a person reschedule dynamically when things change, in a way that remains optimized for short rides.

Currently, when I plan manually feed Google Maps, showing current traffic with. I scheduling, alerts and complexes to dynamic change while I'm executing the plan.

So I wanted to consult this community of experienced couriers to validate whether this gap is real or if my imagination is running away with me.

Imagine a specialized daily schedule app that could:

• Integrate directly with your navigation to see total route distance.
• Optimize your schedule using realistic traffic estimations to actively minimize both total driving distance and total driving hours during peak times.
• Allow you to drag-and-drop the order of deliveries instantly if a customer is unavailable, and see the new optimal order.
• Seamlessly postpone uncompleted deliveries to the next day.
• Include single-tap buttons for pre-defined communications (sharing ETAs or drop-off updates via WhatsApp, SMS, or email).

Would having a tool that is both a dynamic planner and a day-of-delivery executor actually solve a major pain point for you? Or is Google Maps/manual planning just "good enough" for most of your needs?

I'm considering trying to build something like this but need your honest feedback. Is this a gap you feel daily?

9 YEARS WORKING FOR EVRI — YEAR AFTER YEARS OF STRESS, PAY CUTS AND PRESSURE.
I’ve worked as an Evri courier for around 9 years, and this hasn’t been one isolated dispute. The problems have built up year after year.
In 2025, I ended up starting a petition after my work was removed without proper notice and I was left paying the costs of running my own depot. After the petition gained attention, I eventually got the work back — but I say my parcel rates were then reduced, costing me around £1,200 a month.
Then in 2026, after already doing around 150 miles a day, Evri tried adding another area around LN7/Caistor which I calculated could add another 60–70 miles and 3–4 hours for roughly £30.
When I refused because it wasn’t viable, I recorded a conversation where I was effectively told: take the extra work or risk losing the work I already had.
That work represented around 90% of my income.
It was then removed.
Add to that years of disputed payments, unpaid/wasted journeys, extremely heavy parcels and team-lift and mechanical lift items being sent to one courier, plus the physical strain that has left me dealing with a large hernia.
And throughout it all we’re called “self-employed.”
What kind of self-employment is it when saying NO can cost you nearly your entire livelihood?
The stress this company has caused me and my family is difficult to put into words.
This is why I’m fighting back.

So due to economic conditions- I need to find a way to supplement my income and there’s a ton of gig work apps. Most of which involve driving.

I’m getting denied time and time again due to an accident in 2022 that I was not at fault for (rear ended by an 18 wheeler) I try to explain this and dispute the background checks but have had no luck. Starting to really feel bad that I didn’t sue the trucker that hit me back then but it’s too late now and it’s screwing me out of work.

Has anyone else dealt with this and were you able to get to a point where you could start using apps like roadie, spark, DoorDash, etc.?

Hello! I am a Danish student in the city of Aarhus, currently living on money grants from the government. I do however, really really want a motorcycle. It has been a dream of mine since i was 12, or even younger. But bikes and insurance is expensive, so i have been considering doing courier deliveries on said motorcycle to help pay off the monthly costs, and at the same time get to ride in the afternoons. Does anyone have experience with couriering on a motorcycle in medium sized cities, and do you have anything i should perhaps consider before going for it? Also, how much should i expect to make pr. hour when doing deliveries in the city of Aarhus while on a motorcycle?

Any recommendations saan pwede mag part time as rider/ delivery rider?

Absolutely do not start working as a courier for Uber through the Onduty fleet company. This company, Onduty Gmbh, will try to act like angels at first, but later they will do everything to violate all your labor rights. They will even do whatever it takes to avoid paying you for the hours you have worked. Please try to spread the word so that our fellow couriers who are looking to start working absolutely stay away from them.

Has anyone had success/failures at stacking apps? Not like Uber & Lyft. But picking up an instacart order and then filtering Lyft by direction. Picking someone up, dropping them off, then delivering the groceries. Has anyone tried doing this?

Fire night after my other job. Has me tempted to try to go for 10 hours tomorrow on my day off.

Found you guys while looking for a florist courier in Chicago. Daily orders for regulars plus events on weekends. Delivery is currently one part-timer and me, but I am looking to outsource.

A few things I'm trying to figure out:

•Multiple stops per run? Most days we've got 6-10 personal orders going to different addresses. Can one driver take them all?

•Last-minute additions? Same-day orders come in constantly. If a route's already set, can we add a stop?

•How are they transported? Arrangements need to stay upright and not get knocked around. Bruised petals and damaged flowers are a big concern.

•Temperature conditions? Do drivers run AC, or is there anything in place for temperature? Chicago summers are rough on flowers sitting in a van.

If any florists here are using Metrobi, would love to hear how it's gone.

Im currently consistently using only uber eats and doordash. Im 24 so i cant do veho. I do need to start doing amazon flex or else i created the account for nothing. Roadie has a waitlist.

I value the pay (duh lol) and the ability to see the miles.

I saw a video where someone delivered from gainesville or ocala area all the way down to wellington for $275.

Thats horrendous, and cant use an app that’s functions like that if thats 80-90% of the orders (just look at the pay and the miles).

277 miles for $275 is awful.

And if they had to drive back home then total mileage is 554 for $275 (assuming no orders are sent for them same day to do on their way back home).

I'm looking for recommendations for other delivery driver services in the Bay Area. Preferably like the South Bay where you can make your own hours and it would be nice to not be on a waitlist. Hi everyone, I'm a female university student who just signed up as a Wolt courier. Because I have zero prior experience and a demanding university schedule, finding a flexible part-time job was nearly impossible until I found Wolt. I was genuinely excited when I got my delivery bag.

However, my mom was furious when she saw it. She told me delivering food is "a man's job" and that standing in restaurants waiting for orders is embarrassing. She believes women should only work in traditional office or retail environments with other women, regardless of how inflexible those hours are for a student.

had my first shift today. Orders were slow, and while waiting outside, a group of teenagers pointed and laughed at me. Combined with my mom's harsh words, I ended up in tears and felt deeply self-conscious.

To the female couriers out there—how do you handle the public stares or traditional family pressure? Does the anxiety get easier after a few shifts? I just want to earn my own money and stay in school.

I was on a delivery outside my normal routes and I knew that the location was crapshoot trying to make my way back to my usual area, this apartment was full on nasty. I am paranoid that there were fleas or bedbugs in the hallway nasty carpet. I’m sure that wasn’t the case but made me gag when I stepped into the building. Anyone else experienced buildings or drop off locations like this?
