Ralsei understands the prophecy fully. He spent his life waiting for the other two heroes: the girl, and the 'cage with human soul and parts'. He's also demonstrated that he understands game mechanics so has a vague understanding of the world they exist in.

The most logical, and mostly agreed upon, understanding of how Kris ended up with the soul is that the goner maker was being used to create a vessel for us, the player, whether that was Gaster or some other controlling force. This was interrupted in favour of 'the plan' by someone in the Carol / Knight / Kris etc alliance.

Part of my question is, was the 'cage' in the prophecy, the first hero, supposed to be the vessel? Is it supposed to be us there, or Kris? We know we need the soul to seal dark fountains, and it would be strange to call Kris a 'cage' if they weren't housing us, so that leads me to believe the prophecy refers to the original vessel we made.

Now, obviously a big theme of the game so far is that things are not set in stone. The prophecy will almost certainly change or be broken - this is just me theorising that that original 'your choices don't matter' scene of us being implanted in Kris is the first instance of this. They weren't part of the prophecy at all.

That brings me to my question: <b>does Ralsei know this?</b>

Ralsei clearly knows something is up with Kris; he shows this in chapter 5, implying that he knows Kris created the dark fountain. Even earlier if you buy into Kris Slash (I do). But does he know they aren't the original vessel? Does he know something's changed and the soul was intercepted and put into an existing person?

These are just some thoughts I'm having. Would be interested to see what others are thinking - maybe what I'm saying is ridiculous or maybe it's totally obvious, I'm not sure!

I played deltarune ch1 and ch2 but kinda forgot about it until now, i'd like to get back at it but i keep hearing about a "weird rute" and something about snow and Noelle, i'd like to play the 3 chapters that came out since i left but i'm not sure if there's something i need to know or if i should follow whatever that route is, can somebody help me a bit without spoiling?

Hey all! New fan of Deltarune here! I was just about to beat Chapter 4 (having just beat the Turtle guy), when my friend who introduced me to the game made me aware you can actually beat the Roaring Knight in Chapter 3!

My question is: Do I have to replay C4 all over again if I go back to C3 and beat RK? I know there’s some weird stuff in regards to how progression and saves work in the game, and I’m not seeing any clarity online haha.

Hello, I've been thinking a lot about the pink fight, but especially Pink's ghost, since it's the same ghost that controlled the Mad Dummy and Mad Mew Mew from Undertale, and I was wondering... Did the ghost always look like this? Or did it inherit this form from controlling Pink for so long???

we didn't get any mention that the player is the angel throughout all chapters tbh, only noelle was the one called as the angel, i think that one prophecy panel of the angel is not like a reflection of us, but rather something that we can't comprehend, because i think somehow, noelle will get a piece of our very soul, and with that power, shes gonna become a being that no one could've understand, and also maybe because toby didn't want us to get a spoiler of the final tragedy, this one could be included.

Im asking because of the art depicting Dess as a human, and while I think its cool, she is a monster based on what we know of her and Noelle back in undertale. So where did it come from?
