Was anyone going to tell me that cut-ins peaked at D3? Everyone is locked tf in. Yes, the cut-ins became prettier over time, but I think some of them lost tension like Kunoichi here. Or my girl Sorcerer. All her gremlin energy from D3 is gone!

For improvements, I think I like the most recent Gunner and FemSamurai ones best. And while I'm usually not an Etna fan, I think out of all of her cut-ins, I like the most recent best, too.

Which are your picks for biggest up- and/or downgrades when it comes to cut-in art?

Disgaea Mayhem Review - Falling Short of Perfection

No spoilers please as I just finished Episode 5 so far as I was looking to do an observation on the gameplay mechanics since I personally feel like the game has some design flaws.

I mean, look, don’t get me wrong in that the game has been fantastic so far with its writing aspects and gameplay design as grinding is still fun, but sometimes I feel like the game could have been a bit different with the Weapon Forte system since I kind of miss seeing a weapon meter.

Like what I am getting at is that I look back at how the game was basically the last mainline entry to use the Weapon Forte mechanic as I was wondering why the developers didn’t want to use the original
Weapon Mastery system from the second game since every time I kill enemies in the fourth game, I expect to see my progress meter fill up a bit as it takes some time to get used to the different mechanics.

I’ve been interested in this series for a very long time now. I looked through the series and thought 3, 4, and 6 looked the most interesting because I thought the characters looked cool but I heard the best way to play this series is in numbered order so I guess I’ll do that. Wish me luck!!

just found this subreddit. wanted to confess my love in good company. in 2018 i bought the game thru a recommendation from a friend who knew i liked final fantasy tactics. disgaea 5 became my most profound addiction and hours-wise i think ive spent more time playing than i did studying and attending classes in college. no shame. anyway, i havent played any of the other titles. are 6 or 7 pretty good? or would it be good to play one of the older titles?

do you guys own any merch for disgaea like toys/posters/etc ? was thinking of buying some since i just started playing again on my switch 2

I'm just starting DD2 and it feels obnoxiously badly designed to have a map where on your second turn you can have 5 different status effects layered on top of each other plus the mothman evility, what did NIS want me to do, just grind?

So I have been looking at the wiki but it won't tell me the mana costs for making a genius armour knight and a genius beast tamer/master, I'm just trying to work out how much mana I need to grind because I like to get a new unit when I unlock the class at genius level. Does anyone have the numbers or a place that tells me the numbers because it'd be cool.

I know absolutely nothing about this series, but I tend to value what the majority of fans of a series' fans have to say when it comes to a given franchise. So what should I know? Do I need to play the first one? Is this game even good? I'm curious to know!

So I am not necessarily looking for help on the game since I have had a lot of experience with it, but basically I wanted to take a closer look into the game’s design aspects to see what fans of the franchise enjoyed about it.

Like what I am getting at is that I know the game has a mildly divisive nature among Disgaea fans due to its short length and insufferable main character that I wanted to observe the positive design aspects of the game.

For me personally, in spite of the aforementioned flaws of the game, I did actually end up enjoying the game during the post game area for things like the DLC characters and the cloning aspects as granted while cloning items can be a bit frustrating at first, it did pay off greatly in the end that again I found a lot of enjoyment out of the game.

Not a big fan of Mousou games but sometimes in the mood of killing everything in a map so I'm considering giving it a chance.

A nice palate cleanser after the months long project that was Silver Wolf. Favorite character from Disgaea and amazing model from Ukupalua. Got to practice yellows which are always tricky since pigmentation on yellows is usually fairly low.
