Achievement Empire Exploration: 22 regions, 1,777 systems, 3,000+ gate jumps....
galleryI just completed the Empire Exploration trophy, which combines the Blessed Pilgrim, State Surveyor, Federal Cartographer, and Tribal Trailblazer. Curious to know who else has done this.
It's fairly useless, but you can't stop once you start, right? I do like exploration and enjoy wandering around New Eden and Anoikis.
I took my time, like 2-3 weeks, mostly semi-AFK. I visited 1,777 systems across 22 regions, taking a tad over 3,000 gate jumps (averaging 1.74 jumps per system). You get along the way the Starbound Trophy (1750 different stargates).
The main challenge is that there is no way to track this in-game unless you created your character after June 9, 2026, as the map shows all the systems you have visited since day one. I had to create a Python script to generate progress reports by region (hint: the systems you jump into are in the local chat log files on your machine)
A few tips and tricks for those interested.
- I fitted an instawarp 10AU nullified Crow to go around
- It's fairly safe. You can auto-pilot through HS system segments.
- The only real danger zone is stage 5 insurgency systems where bubbles can be used
- I used https://eveeye.com to navigate
And a more entertaining version of the journey follows...

YC128.09.01 // NEW EDEN NEWS // JITA IV-4 — From the neon-drenched trading spires of Jita 4-4 to the sacred golden nebulae of Domain and the rugged asteroid canyons of Molden Heath, capsuleer Kalo en Chasteaux—flying under the banner of Dark Venture, the renowned wormhole corporation celebrated for welcoming both starry-eyed rookies and battle-hardened veterans into J-space—has accomplished what interstellar navigators consider a masterwork of patience and precision: a complete, 100% survey of all four major empire territories in New Eden.
Over an epic 84-day odyssey spanning from June to September, Chasteaux charted 1,777 solar systems across 22 sovereign regions, executing 3,088 precision stargate jumps with an astonishing travel efficiency of 1.74 jumps per unique system.
The Four-Empire Odyssey
The expedition began amid the commercial shipping lanes of The Forge. What started as a regional Caldari sweep soon expanded into the grand State Surveyor initiative. Chasteaux methodically charted the quiet belts of Lonetrek, the sprawling industrial complexes of The Citadel, and slipped past hostile border patrols in the war-torn lowsec pockets of Black Rise.
Crossing into Gallente space, Chasteaux took on the mantle of Federal Cartographer, mapping all 383 systems from the cultural heart of Essence and Sinq Laison to the isolated, mist-shrouded frontiers of Solitude and Verge Vendor. Local gate sentry logs in Placid recorded Chasteaux's vessel executing daring slingshot maneuvers around plasma storms, evading pirate interdictors with the signature cloaky survival instincts honed in wormhole space.
Next, Chasteaux tackled the Minmatar Republic’s Tribal Trailblazer trail—mapping 395 systems across the rust-hued nebulae of Metropolis, Heimatar, Derelik, and the dangerous asteroid canyons of Molden Heath.
The epic final chapter was the Blessed Pilgrim grand circuit through the vast Amarr Empire. Spanning 689 systems—the largest domain in known space—Chasteaux navigated the sacred pilgrimage routes of Domain, the pirate-haunted reaches of The Bleak Lands, and the strict border patrols of the Khanid Kingdom, charting the final imperial system on September 1st to seal the 100% grand survey.
Grand Survey Scorecard
- Pilot & Corporation: Kalo en Chasteaux // Dark Venture
- Total Solar Systems Explored: 1,777 / 1,777 (100.0% Complete)
- Total Regions Conquered: 22 / 22 Across 4 Empires
- Total Stargate Jumps: 3,088 Recorded Gate Transitions
- Travel Efficiency: 1.74 Jumps per Unique System
"Mapping every gate in the four empires was deeply insightful and gave me a whole new appreciation for known space," Chasteaux remarked over an encrypted commlink before diving back into a signature wormhole chain. "But to be honest, stargates get predictable. I really missed our home space—there is nothing quite as exciting, unpredictable, and entertaining as the wormhole life."
"To bring that Dark Venture wormhole discipline into known space and personally chart every highsec spine, lowsec cul-de-sac, and contested border outpost across all four empires requires unmatched endurance," added a CONCORD Senior Cartographer in Yulai.
With all four empire badges secured, pilot lounges from Dodixie to Amarr Prime are raising glasses to Chasteaux's legendary voyage. But as Chasteaux slips back into the eerie blue depths of Anoikis to share the master charts with Dark Venture corpmates, one burning question echoes across the stars:
With empire space conquered... is Nullsec next?
