my navy blue overall dress

Hello! I’ve always wanted to dress more feminine but have been too nervous. At 34 I decided I’m done hiding, so I’m challenging myself to dress more femininely every day and post photos.

I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, so I would love feedback, good and bad!

Also yes I will fix the loose snap button that makes it look like my fly is open

When I'm not dressing to intimidate, I try to experiment with pieces of clothing that are outside the conventional lane and see if I can't ground them somehow. Keeping their unique qualities, but accessorizing or styling them so they serve an overall look without distracting from it.

A kilt, though, is quite "loud". Do you think I was successful in reigning it in, or will a kilt always just be "too extra" for a regular dude in the states?

I was disappointed with the length of this particular one - I'm 6'5" and in order for it to sit correctly on my waist, the edge hangs above my knee which I don't like. But maybe I'm the only one that is bothered by that.

I originally got this dress to wear to a wedding but ended up going with something else. I can still return it but I do still love this dress.

I dont have any more events to attend but my husband and I do plan on going on a trip to vegas without the kids soon.

Is this something I could wear out to a nice dinner/bar in Vegas? (With different shoes though)

Ended up going no belt since it was a more casual outing but I figured I would also include pics of the dress with a red or black belt like many suggested.

Really like the look with the red one personally.
