this is sad, of course, just as everything he's been allowed to do falls somewhere on the ever-expanding scale of sadness

but the bitter, dark, canadian part of me is glad he's leaving physical marks on the landscape as a record of his brutality. he won't be forgotten in 2029 (he might even still be in office then)

he's making sure his mark is permanent. i just hope americans remember it the next time they're voting for the leader of their country

his presidency wasn't some accidental, one-off fluke. it happened twice

Americans voted for him. Twice. Don't put faith in them.

I'm American and unfortunately there are many dummies all over the USA.

Every country has a similar share of fools. Among other things, a robust society should be designed to contain and channel them. Unfortunately, not in today's America.

So, I'd rather blame America's intelligent (but way too greedy) people, past & present, for the way they've designed and corrupted America. I also blame good Americans, for being too lazy/distracted to successfully unite, organize and resist their intelligent but greedy elites, these past 80 years, (at least since 1947 and the Taft Hartley Act which gradually crippled unions, thus giving the wealthy elites and their corporations unchecked and excessive power)
