I don’t mean GTA VII won’t happen. If GTA VI makes the kind of money everyone expects, Take-Two will obviously keep the franchise going.

What I mean is that GTA VI feels like it could be the end of an era for the series.

GTA has become so culturally massive, technically ambitious, and expensive to produce, with such an absurdly long development cycle, that I have a hard time imagining another generational leap on this scale happening anytime soon.

GTA VII might eventually exist, but I wouldn’t expect another GTA to feel like this much of an event for a very, very long time.

In the space of 10 minutes I have read 2 posts criticising the realism of Lucia. One post was how it was unrealistic and not possible to reload a shotgun with one hand, there is even evidence of what appears to be a male in the video proving this isn't possible. Then another post asking "wHeRe DiD lUcIa PuT hEr CeLl PhOnE?"

People can dress it up however they want but not once have I ever seen people criticise the unrealistic aspects of any gta male character. We have been able to carry an arsenal of guns, many assault rifles, pistols, mele weapons, snipers, shotguns, throwables, rpg, rocket launchers, greenade launchers and we pull them out of thin air and there is no issue. We have been able to fly motorbikes and cars and now the way a character stores a mobile phone is suddenly an issue!? 😂

Bro, let's just say what the real problem is. We finally have a playable female character and suddenly some people are T R I G G E R E D. 😂 No one is forcing you to buy the game.

I hate that I’m applying this to GTA characters cause I know we’re gonna commit atrocities, but I can’t help with think that Jason is one of the few GTA characters who is really a sweetheart through and through he to me reads like a numb skull sweetheart, where his heart takes him places, but the brain just ain’t fair unless it comes to a job with Lucia

And I honestly think he’s gonna be my favorite protagonist of all GTA’s even over Trevor and people know how much I glazed Trevor in my friend group

Actually, I've never played any of the GTA games in my life. Except for once when, at a kids' house my age, I tried one or two of the older 3D games in the franchise and I LOVED them, especially the fact that we can customize his vehicles. But of course I never had my own games because they were too violent. So time passes, I'm in middle school and GTA 5 finally comes out, YouTube is flooded with its videos onlines and, I just don't care cause I still prefered Minecraft. Now, as you can probably guess, I regret this huge gap in my life. Almost everyone has had this experience, but not me, and it makes me sad because I missed out on something big and important. I can't just buy the 6th one without having played the others (platinum at best) so I buyed the remasters of the trilogy (some problems with the delivery but I guess it will be right). Anyway, thanks for reading everything and sorry if it was too long. I'd like you to tell me what I can do. Oh, and I have a PS3; it's acting up, but it only works when it wants to.

Quick clarification: some people seem to think I’m saying Jason is boring. I am not saying that I’m quoting people who are saying that and trying to say there wrong. My b for misusing quotations.

A lot of people have been complaining about how Jason is very stale and bland and not as interesting as a character as previous gta’s. Am I the only person that sees Jason as actually more of a return to form than anything? Throughout every gta game except 5, the protagonist has always been the calm and level headed character while everyone around him is crazy and wacky. In almost every cutscene, Niko, CJ, Tommy, or even Claude always stayed more reserved while the character they were with like brucie or Roman or big smoke kept on yapping about random eccentric bullshit. Even other rockstar titles had similar protagonist behavior like john marston who was very direct and stoic or max payne who was fed up with everything around him. The only rockstar game where the protagnists were crazier and louder than the people around them was gta 5, mainly with Michael and Trevor. So if anything Jason is the most classic gta protagonist we could get.

I was talking to my friend and he was like “I really hope Franklin’s shows up on gta 6” but I disagree. I absolutely hated when Jhonny showed up on gta 5.

I think it’s better to leave the main protagonists where they are and just let them be. For example CJ disappeared after gta sa. Tommy was never seen after vice city. There are references of Niko bellic which I love it but he never showed up anywhere. Luis was mentioned in gta online I think but never showed up anywhere. Thats what I love. Claude was on gta sa but it was before gta 3 time line so I guess that was cool but Johnny being in gta 5 and DYING was the worst thing. I hated it. I would’ve loved the “Jhonny or Trevor who’s crazier” but ofc they ruined that. What yall think?

I’m a PC player and I’ve waited 13 years for GTA VI, I don’t want to wait another year and risk having some dipshit spoil the game for me so I’m genuinely thinking of buying a PS5 or Xbox for GTA VI and then selling it

My only issue is I havnt played a console since the PS2 - I dont even remember how it’s really used. Do you guys have any recommendations on which console is easier for GTA/RDR games? How easy would you say it is compared to a keyboard and mouse?

I still haven’t pre-ordered because I’m stuck on which platform I’d want to play the game.
I have a base PS5, and an Xbox Series X.
I don’t care for some of the PlayStation exclusive features they’ve mentioned (like the use of the controller speaker, or the adaptive triggers), so what I’m focused on is which console it’ll run better on, if we can even find that out before release.
I’m swaying away from PlayStation because of their controversies lately, but I’m unable to choose which one.
Was just wondering what anyone else thinks. If they’ve wondered the same, etc.

The game is set in Vice City. Rockstar had two options: make a UI that blends into the experience, or make it loud, colorful, and constantly fighting for your attention. I think they picked the right one.

A good UI is one you stop noticing after a while. An hour into the game, most players probably won't even notice it anymore. That's the whole point of UI.

Would people really prefer a neon Vice City-themed UI that looks more colorful than the game itself?
