First mountain run on my ‘26 Dark Horse, 2000km total
Jasper, Rocky Mountain House, Bow Valley Parkway, Banff, Highwood Pass & the Cowboy Trail across 3 days - can’t wait to get out there again. Almost 7000km on her since I first picked her up in May, bike took everything I threw at her and more, just as expected!

Request for advice / Help Rear frame slider installation?
I recently got some rear frame sliders from Meancycles that mount to the suspension attachment points (INDIAN SCOUT/VICTORY OCTANE REAR SLIDERS 2015-26).
There wasn’t a link to an installation guide/ video and if there is one on YouTube I can’t find it.
Have any of you put these or similar on your bike? So I need any special tools? I think I just need to jack the bike up to take the weight off the suspension and replace the bolts with the sliders & their bolts but I don’t want to get into it and realize I missed something important.
Thanks in advance

New bike / New to me Got my first cruiser, New to me 22 Indian Scout.
Such a fun ride and I'm happy I went this route. The aftermarket exhaust from the previous owner is a little too loud but I'll work it out eventually. Hopefully I can put on some good miles before the snow flies in the Midwest!

Customizations / Modifications Saddlemen Renegade Seat
Customized seat with gold thread on cross hatch, and silver top thread and logo. 400 miles on the seat and its finally getting broken in. Was awful for first 100 miles. Matches mini-floorboards and inverted shocks and rear shock reservoir. Really coming together.

Tune for 2025 Sport Chief
Just bought the Megaphone Gen 2 exhaust from Two Brothers. I have some people telling me im gonna need to tune it, others telling me to run it without a tune to see how it runs to see if I can get away with not tuning it. My question is am I definitely gonna need to tune it or can I get away with not doing it?

Request for advice / Help 26 Indian Scout 101 Clutch Noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey All,
I just purchased a 2026 Indian Scout 101 and noticed a noise coming from the bike today.
When the bike is in neutral and the clutch is released, there is a fairly loud clanking/rattling noise coming from the engine/transmission area.
When I pull the clutch lever in, the noise immediately goes away. When I release the clutch, the noise comes back.
For reference, in the video:
0–8 seconds: Clanking noise is present with the clutch released.
8–14 seconds: Clutch is pulled in and the noise goes away.
14 seconds onward: Clutch is released and the noise returns.
Since the bike is brand new, I’m wondering if this is normal for the Scout 101 or if it could indicate an issue that should be inspected.
Thanks!

Missing power switch
Looking to buy this 2021 Springfield dark horse. It looks like the previous owner has removed the power switch. Does anyone have an idea what was there instead and how prone this would be to water getting through. Thanks in advance.

Thinking of getting a tune for my Scout 101. Thoughts?
I'm not chasing horsepower or trying to strain every ounce of power imaginable, I'm only trying to improve the fuel mapping. Euro-5 emissions have been a plague on motorcycles for a hot minute, but it's done quite a number to Indian.
All I want is better off-idle performance (no more pops when getting back on the throttle after decelerating), and better cold-start fuel delivery. I don't care if I lose a little mileage or even if I lose a little power. I just want better fueling. No engine modifications done to the bike (save for a slip-on).
Anyone here bought an aftermarket tune? Any that worked great or should be avoided? I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Am I to big for Indian scout or should I go Indian chief?
This is gonna be my first bike purchase and I really like the 27 scout 101 but the salesman said I might be a little big and I should go for the chief sport
I’m 6 ft 260 I felt comfortable on both. the chief has higher bars which I like but the price is just out of my range. can I get higher bars on the scout 101 or would it look stupid?

Request for advice / Help Dent on front left corner.
My buddy has a 2022 Indian Scout Rogue. The tank was removed to be painted and ended up getting dropped. There is now a 1/2" deep dent about the size of a golf ball on the front left of the tank. Any suggestions on how to remove/repair or what kind of shop to take it to?

Some western ride porn for the sub
Today was a good day. Only 1200 miles on the Scout 101 but so far I’m loving it. The way forward controls took a bit, but now I find them comfortable.

Challenger DH 2020 VS Pursuit DH 2023
So I just sold my Harley and now looking for a challenger or a pursuit for a reasonable price.
Atm there is the bikes mentioned in the title that are interesting, both have gone around 20000-30000km, both are black and both are fully original.(pursuit has heated grips and saddle tho)
What I understand there isn’t that much of a difference between them? The big thing as I understand it is the clutch?
I’ve only ridden a challenger DH 2025, and can’t say I didn’t think much of the clutch.
Is there really that much of a difference that a noobie like me will tell?
The 2020 is far away from where I live so don’t have possibility to go and test drive just to try it..

Discussion thread I Love It When My Passions And Hobbies Collide
I'm a huge watch enthusiast, and more recently, an equally as big Indian fan. Collaboration watches like this aren't uncommon in horology. Breitling in particular tends to be a regular collaborator with motor brands like Triumph, Deus, Ford, etc.
For whatever reason, Indian Motorcycle has very very few of them. I recently learned of this 50 piece run of a gorgeous vintage inspired chronograph that takes design sensibility from motorcycle gauges and aesthetics.
It's made by a company that has a nearly 100 year history of mechanical watchmaking and uses high end Swiss parts, plus hand assembly just like Indian Motorcycles.
Any awesome piece to wear while taking a ride.

First ride and first real-world test with my new DJI Osmo 360 and DJI Mic 2! I wanted to see how the camera handles motorcycle footage while capturing the sound of my 2025 Indian Sport Chief RT.
And then a 5.0 Mustang pulled up alongside me… 👀😂

Request for advice / Help Bought this Indian off FB marketplace with 1,525 mi after seller said it was her son's and sat for a year...
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I believe it possibly sat for more than a year, as there was rust when you open up the fuel tank. I thought they had drained it & put in fresh, but didnt learn until after riding it over an hr home that they just added to it & topped it off...she ran great & still is riding fine except recently started bogging down in 1st+2nd before clearing up & taking off as usual. Just did it a little in 4th last night too. engine light came on with codes: 0 65590
7
1 65592
7...also boggs down or hesitates/then pops a little if you give it a little throttle while in neutral. I've ran seafoam through it, then also tried some B44 through it. After the B44 it seemed to have cleared & fixed the issue. Ran great no issues for a couple hundred mi. A little over 2,500mi & it has started doing it again. This is all within the last month. Idle is a little sporadic recently & goes up & down a couple rpm. I am in now way a mechanic & new to bikes. Change my oil in my s197 mustang & all my other vehicles as well as simple things like brake pads/rotors, basic stuff. So my question is has anyone had anything similiar with their Indian, & was it just plugs, or a bad fuel pump. Or are we thinking clogged injectors still even after the seafoam & b44? Or what? Any help/tips/info would be GREATLY appreciated as there is only 1 Indian dealer near me & its an hr away & they are charging $125 diagnostic fee before even doing anything else. Oh & they wont even schedule it "bc its a diag & they dont do that so just bring it by when you can & they'll get to it in order it was brought". All the other little bike shops aren't familiar with Indians in my area & clearly stated that when I called & asked if they worked on Indians. I just want to get her fixed so I can ride this beauty!

2021 Scout Sixty Bobber CEL
Rode home from work this morning, and when stopped at an off ramp the check engine light came on, steady not flashing. Performance was fine, battery voltage is fine. Picking up a code reader but asking for ideas on what else to check. Only 6200 miles on it with less than a 1000 since I bought it.
Ideas?

New ride
Just brought it home this morning. When we first started looking at getting a new bike, all the matte colors and flat black looked cool and tough, but then it all just kinda started looking the same. I think that’s why the green grabbed us. I haven’t seen another like it, but either way my wife and I are excited to see the country on this beautiful machine. Our 2013 Goldwing has been a hell of a bike, but these Pursuits are just incredible.

Discussion thread Instrument cluster died
Instrument cluster stopped working.
Left my 2016 indian scout in the garage for two months while away on a trip. I know water damage to the circuit board is a common problem for this group of years and I did definitely see the lense get condensation under it a few times but being left in the garage working I'm skeptical that it is a short vs corrosion. Checked all the fuses and nothing blew
Regardless I would like to upgrade to a better instrument cluster that will be less likely to have these problems, but it looks like it's really only compatible with other indian clusters from the same year so I'm not sure what to do cuz I don't want to buy one that will have the same problem.
