Hello, i know it has been discussed this a lot. but there’s no proper list of best quality food if budget is not a problem. (im sorry if i have missed it).
i have adopted a kitten just a couple of days back( she’s healing from a skin infection treatment going on, she’s furry, could be DLH/persian, she’s a healthy kitten otherwise. 3ish months and 1.7kg), and i stupidly am feeding her sheba wet kitten food + royal canin dry. i got to know that sheba is an incomplete meal, i feel so bad now.
could you please recommend good quality complete meal? also, what should be the portion size? i have been giving half a pouch of 70g sheba wet food in day and half at night + RC dry food accessible all the time.

Hello everyone. I dropped a post a couple of days ago about how me and my flatmates adopted an abandoned kitten from our college. Today's update, the kitten vomited 3 times last night, has a slightly warmer body temperature and is refusing food. She has been peeing a little every couple of minutes outside the litter box we prepared for her. She jumped into the garbage box a day before yesterday and got a bloody tongue because of a cut probably caused by a stapler pin. I doubt if she ingested anything harmful but she might have eaten garbage which might be the cause of her vomiting. She is only being fed wet food. No KMR yet because we simply can't afford that. We are residing in Kamla Nagar, New Delhi and are really concerned for her. Called a few clinics in the vicinity but they refused advice without a fee. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

these cats have been in the balcony for around 3 hours. Mind you its 11:30 am right now. I wonder what the owner is doing but the other cat has been crying out loud for a long time trying to find a way to get in inside. it breaks my heart to see this.

So today morning i wake up to my dogs screams she is 4 years old lab and German shepherd mix I adopted her 3.5 years ago . When i went out of my room the voice were coming from the backyard as soon as i went there i saw my dog and our neighbours male lab dog and the backyard was locked when i asked my father he said that the neighbours were going out so they left him at our home my mom also used the same excuse but when my grandma came i asked her she told me that they bought the dog home for breeding and i am very against it . I told my mom to stop my father but instead of doing it she was supporting him but my grandma was on my side my father heard all the conversations and very angrily said that he will beat my and kill my dog if the made any scene now it was a 1 hr long argument and as we have cameras installed i can see all in the cameras he was beating her with stick and she was also very uncomfortable I made up my mind that if my dog pregnant i will get the puppies abort . But after insisting so much my mother told my father that u should do i when ur daughter know it and all that typical Indian household bull shit and opened the backyard door and all this happened in the early morning as I brother went to school as he is also against it . At last I warned that that this is illegal and I will in form to the animal healthcare or the people and the reason they give me for all this was We can’t feed the dog for free she also have to give something in return in simple words that they will sell the puppies and get the money and we are not very poor we need this kind of income sources my father is retired and earn around 80k months and owns land . Now I can’t trust them anymore so i want to give my dog out for adoption where she can will freely and happily. Anybody in Amritsar or near can contact me

Hi everyone,
This is a male cat around 1-2 years old called Dwight. He keeps revisiting our home, and keeps meowing to get in but I can't foster it as I have a rabbit. He looks like an abandoned cat as its very friendly and not able to hunt.
If anyone wants to adopt this cat in Delhi NCR, pls DM me.

Update: We’ve reached the amount needed for her treatment
I just wanted to give everyone an update and say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared the post, offered advice, or simply took the time to care about her.
We have now raised ₹5,000, which is enough to cover her treatment and medications for the time being. I honestly didn’t expect so many strangers to come forward and help.
She is still recovering from her hind-leg weakness and the painful abscess wound, so we have a long way to go. I’m hoping and praying that she continues to improve and, one day, walks again.
Thank you to every single person who helped this little girl. Your kindness has given both of us hope. 🥹🐱
No more donations are needed for now. If we need help in the future, I’ll update the post.
Thank you ❤️

We live in a hostel and we are taking care of a female orange cat(Shakira) and her litter of three kittens since she gave birth to them 5days ago. They are healthy and the cat is fed well, she has all of the cat food here, like wet chicken mousse that she previously loved. We have got her all kinds of cat food in the market and also boiled chicken, egg and rice. But Tonight she took one kid and ran upstairs to the fourth floor to a random persons room and went into a box. Even after we brought back the box she is trying to go back to that room and stay under their bed.
ALSO WHAT STARTED ALL THIS??? BIRYANI
So we got some biryani for ourselves yesterday and she wanted some then we gave her in her plate. But we feel she felt betrayed and tried to jump and eat from ours which is not usual behavior. TODAY we bought biryani just for HER. SHE DIDN'T EAT ANYTHING ALL DAY NOT EVEN IMPORTED CAT FOOD and only ate that biryani at night.
How do we keep her with her kids and in this room where she is safe and fed and not elsewhere where they might get hurt.

So i recently adopted a female cat she is 1.5 years old and 3.2 kg. Before she used to poop like once every 24hrs . But since one month it changed to like around 48hrs. Is it normal or emergency situation? Should i should take her to the vet asap? The poop is healthy looking poop dark brown but at the end of her poop she gets little loose light brown poop? Is it something related to the diet?

Posting this on behalf of some friends who are currently taking care of 9 adorable puppies, around a month old, in Navi Mumbai.
They’ve been looking after these little ones, feeding them, keeping them safe, healthy & making sure they get the care they need. Their deworming has already been done, and they’re scheduled to be vaccinated tomorrow as well. ❤️
We’re now trying to find genuine, responsible families who would be willing to give these kids a permanent home. They’re healthy, playful, incredibly sweet, and deserve to grow up somewhere safe and loved.
📍 Location: Navi Mumbai
🚗 Travel: They can coordinate across Mumbai & Thane if the right adopter is interested.
💉 Deworming: Done
💉 Vaccination: Scheduled for tomorrow
If you or someone you know has been thinking about adopting, please consider giving one of these babies a home. Please only reach out to them directly over Instagram if you’re serious about adoption & understand that a pet is a long-term commitment.
Even if you can't adopt, we would genuinely appreciate your support by upvoting, commenting, or sharing this post so it reaches someone who can. My friends are doing everything they can for these pups, and a little visibility would go a long way.
You can DM on Instagram
Thank you so much. Hoping Reddit can help us find these little ones their forever families.
P.S. Please adopt, don’t shop.

I was following this story of two golden retrievers that got swept away from Nepal and ended up in some border town in India. A guy in some village took them but started churning out contents instead. As soon as it came to notice ,A well known Nepali ngo collaborated with an Indian rescuer and reached there .It turned out the initial guy gave the dog to someone else and the next person refused to give them back.Police got involved . Long story short , Nepali rescuer was initially given the dogs and they treated their visible injuries .
When it was finally time to bring them back, the indian rescuer refused to give them back and started creating hurdles by asking for documentation and all .The family is yet to be contacted and the chances are their family probably swept away too .These dogs are in need of further treatment and they are very traumatised . She is keeping them in Bihar while the dogs most likely lived in hills. The nepali team has given up after she threatened them with “Police has given me the authority”.
I don’t trust the rescuer .If the dogs can’t be brough to Nepal , I hope they atleast reach to safe hands .Someone please intervene .
