I just recently moved to Bloomington for grad school, and I am hoping to find someone who can help me produce some of my music. I figured maybe there were some students in the Jacob’s school who were interested in building a production portfolio, etc. If anyone knows the best way to find someone who might wanna work with me, or if anyone has any other recommendations, let me know!

I’ve heard that there’s a mini recording studio in the public library, I also have some of my own equipment. Thanks!

I’ve been struggling to make friends who are also Indian and international students. There is not a single Indian in any of my classes and I feel quite isolated. Even in the dining hall, I only see people who already have friends and who are usually in their sophomore years or higher. I would just love to have someone to talk to, maybe walk together to class and in general, just to have someone to give me a reason to get out of my room. We are recruiting undergraduate students who are (1) 18 years old or older, (2) fluent in English, and (3) have used AI tools for emotional or mental health support to participate in a 20-minute online survey. Been a passive IU fan for most of my life as my family is filled with alumni. But I gotta watch a game in person with Cig under the helm. Heading to Memorial for my first this weekend for North Tx. Any recommendations for game day activites? - food, tailgate spots, really anything in general I should bring or check out while I’m there.

i’m applying this month oos to IU as a bio major. i’m curious from current students in the program about their experience and opinions. since i’m also interested in the pre-med track, i was curious about the amount of course prep for MCAT. tia

Personally I think having a discord allows students to connect on more of an instantaneous level rather then having to create posts. If someone simply wanted to talk about music, or how their day went we would have a place for it. If enough of you guys are interested I could maybe start a unofficial one and potentially get approved. Just let me know what you think!

I’m coming down to visit my freshman daughter this coming weekend for the first time. I am staying at the Biddle Sep 4th and 5th. If ticket prices drop low enough, we may decide to go to the football game. Checkout at the hotel is at 12. Can I leave my car parked there for free until after the game? I know it’s a long walk to the stadium.
Is another option parking in CH at Briscoe since that’s where my daughter’s dorm is and it’s free on weekends? I assume that will fill fast though. Thanks for any insight!

hello everyone I am currently a sophomore at IU and I recently took on a data science minor as an epidemiology major and I have to take csci-c 200 as my first class for my minor. last year when making my schedule I was super excited and was not worried at all even though I have no programming experience bc the class is an intro class. so I have professor Hmeljak and based off of his rate my professor comments I’m basically fucked. But I didn’t want to judge him based off of those comments because most people in the comments ended the year with As and Bs. But last week was literally the first week and he got straight Into it and I was completely lost. like I kinda knew what was going on but also didn’t it’s so weird. I definitely left the class more confused than I was before. I assumed he would teach us how to use python but nope he just kept goin over examples but also kept getting distracted. We can’t have our computers in class so I couldn’t follow along so I just tried my best to write things down. Labs haven’t started yet and im told that’s where you learn make stuff but all people I’ve talked to have experience in coding and programming languages but I don’t. I’m scared I’m essentially going to have to teach myself coding but I’m not confident in my ability to do so. So if anyone has any tips beyond going to office hours( they start next week and I will be going ) greatly appreciated
