Every year, the first autumn colors in Japan begin to appear in the Daisetsuzan Mountains of Hokkaido from mid-September to early October.
The best time to see the autumn colors around the mountain peaks is from mid to late September.
Around the ropeway stations, mid-mountain areas, and foothills, the autumn colors are usually at their best in late September. 🍁

Lucky with good weather, no cloud, but strong wind, hard to take photos with handheld (I didn't bring tripod).

I found these little handmade washi lanterns in Mino, Gifu today. They're only about 9 cm tall. I couldn't resist bringing the rabbit and rooster home.

Hey everyone.. I’m coming back to Japan for a couple of weeks starting October 27th and I could really use a sneaky photographer for an hour. I’m pulling the trigger and proposing to my girlfriend, hopefully at the Saiho-ji temple in Kyoto near the tree-covered moss areas. I’m a bit stressed out as I wanted to find a beautiful waterfall to propose at since that’s our thing but I couldn’t find one close enough to the areas we’re staying in(tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka). I don’t have photographer friends in Japan and could really use someone who’s got an eye for outdoor photography that would be able capture the moment. I’ve got a photography/film background and would’ve loved to somehow just set up the camera on a timer and record it instead but I want it to be less obvious, obviously. Please let me know if you’re able to help me out with this one. Paid obviously, I wouldn’t allow it otherwise.

I loved the charm of Minō, a small suburb of Osaka. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the sometimes very stressful city of Osaka.

Fukuoka’s colorful skyline reflected on the calm waters of the Naka River. A beautiful night scene from one of Japan’s most vibrant cities.
