Only $5 for this vintage beauty! Despite the box, the actual puzzle was in great shape. Anyone know much about the history of Zig-Zag puzzles?

My to do pile was growing rapidly, so this weekend I organized everything and decided these are the ones I will aim to complete in September and October.

Also I’m very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the puzzle. The pieces have absolutely no glare and yes they stick together pretty well, but I’m thinking about starting a puzzle book so I probably won’t take it apart. I definitely like it better than loose pieces. I also really like the soft feeling and I think Hobbry has very cute images. Sadly I don’t live in the us/canada but due to my job i can get there quite often so I’ll definitely look for new Hobbry puzzles once I’m back.

I’m not yet sure tho if I’m the biggest fan of 500 piece puzzles because I started with 1000 piece ones and I like the challenge now.

This was fun! The background was challenging and some of the colors were hard to tell apart. I did not care for the loose fit of the pieces, though.

My first micro puzzle! The pieces were so tiny, about the size of my thumbnail. The texture of the pieces made it feel like I was playing with confetti.

Do I like micro puzzles now? I'm not sure. I honestly think this might not have been a good image to start with. I'm slowly learning that I don't think I like puzzles trying to imitate stained glass. All the lines seem to throw me off and I can't visualize where the pieces go as well. I say this, and I have at least two more stained glass style puzzles that will be getting done.

I started this at the end of my summer of Disney puzzles, but was not able to finish it by the end of August. By the time I started this one I mentally needed a break from puzzles, and especially Disney ones. So I focused on some other hobbies, and did some non Disney puzzles. Then after finishing a different puzzle a few nights ago I came back to this one and was able to rather speedily put it together.

Except for the border. The border is a nightmare. I absolutely know pieces are not in the right spot, and please feel free to point them out! Some of the edge pieces have a little color on them, but not enough. I did my best to not force any pieces in, and only a couple had to be forced, particularly by the top corner pieces. I don't know if the issue is the corner pieces themselves, or the surrounding pieces. The left border I tried one by one trying to figure out where the issue was, used the flashlight on my phone, looked at the puzzle sideways, but decided it was not worth my time and that if a piece fit and looked like it fit at a glance, I would leave it.

This is the first puzzle where I've done this, and frankly I'm less bothered than I thought I would be. I got the main portion of the puzzle done and had fun with it. I loved watching it come together. I'm not letting an all black border ruin my fun!

I’m trying to cut down on social media, and for me, doing jigsaw puzzles is a great way to pass the time, along with reading. Do you have any other hobbies to suggest?

Okay then... For the last few days I have been happily doing 300 to 500 piece puzzles in about 3 to 4 hrs, from opening the box until complete.

Today I started this one. I spent about 30 minutes9 sorting - just look at the adorable mushroom whimsies. Then because the cut on this one is Vine Cut, the first thing I do is fit all the curly bits (vines) together.

I thought this would take me about 30 minutes. This is where the narrator of my life says 'She was very, very wrong'

3:30 hours it took me *shocked pikachu face*

So I will continue this tomorrow. Have a scroll through the photos to see.

Having a hard time to manage this one. Looking for tips how to get this done. Help

I am such a huge fan of these color puzzles. I love sorting and watching them quickly come together. Beautiful image and colors. I want to find the others in the series!

I’m not sure if I’ve done other White Mountain puzzles- I’ve heard great things but don’t do 1000pc ones, so it was fun getting to do this 300pc one. Interesting shaped pieces, and vibrant picture. Great quality. Would love to find more like this one!

Google suggested I ask this group - my first foray into Reddit! I have this old 1000 pc cardboard puzzle in a tin. It follows a grid but the pieces are irregular. I remember it as a child which places it in the 1960s. The signature is Norman Keene, apparently a recognised artist who died in 1965. I would love to know more about its date and the manufacturer. Any ideas?
