Discussion No confirmation and no order number after pre-ordering Jolla Phone for €99 — is this normal?

Hey everyone,
I pre-ordered a Jolla Phone for €99 a while ago and used the email address I’m writing from. I paid by card directly on their website (not PayPal) and have proof of payment, but:
• I never received any order confirmation
• I don’t have an order number at all
• I wrote to Jolla support twice and got no reply
Important detail: I made a mistake when ordering — I didn’t create an account beforehand. However, during checkout (when entering card details) the site also asked for my email, and I entered the same one I’m using now. Later I logged into the shop with this email, but there’s still no order visible in the account.
Is this normal for Jolla pre-orders, or does it look like something went wrong?
Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
Any advice on what I should do next would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

Discussion Batch 1 no shipping confirmation or updates yet. Anyone else?

Hey everyone, since the email on the 20th stated Batch 1 shipping would finish by August 25th, seeing no updates on my order almost a week later makes me wonder if there's a delay with certain regions (Italy) or if I'm just unlucky in the queue. Still haven't received any tracking info.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm in Batch 2.

I've been tracking my delivery and got shocking email this morning to pay £90.75 before collection.

To say I'm infuriated is putting this mildly 😤🤬

Discussion Non-existing Jolla customer support?

I've been trying for more than 2 weeks to reach anyone at Jolla to find out about the state of my pre-order, but I've not yet received any reply. Is total lack of communication to be expected from Jolla? This is extremely disappointing given how they market themselves as driven by community values, because treating your customers like non-existing doesn't really convey the message. Any help would be appreciated.

Discussion Any Jolla users from Denmark?

Anyone from Denmark, using this phone, that can answer how crusial apps like MitID works?
I’m really interested in dumping my IPhone ecosystem to join the European independancy, but I’m no IT expert and a family dad, so while I Can live with some hassle, there are stuff I would need to work without too much tinkering.

Mobile OSes, research for NON google AnDroid alternatives

Ever so many wanting to get rid of google spyware ("stock Android")...

Start by searching for your device, what OS, IF which supports, has official ROMs for.

See/Search for UNOFFICIAL builds (ROMs) for your device SPECIFICALLY.

Beware of "minor" phone/model differences could be fatal ("Bricking up") your device, if incorrect ROM installed.

Prior to any of it, make sure, you can unlock BootLoader. It's great, if you can lock back BootLoader

after install of any FOSS OS (or Alternative OS, as some are paid after-all) after.

Discussion Does the ABN-Amro app Work? (and some more questions)

Are there any Jolla 2026 users from the Netherlands here?
Does anyone know if the ABN AMRO banking app works on the new Jolla Phone? In particular, I'm interested in everyday banking functions such as checking my balance, making transfers, iDEAL payments, QR codes and identification.

More generally: is Android Auto an option on the Jolla Phone?
I use Magic Earth and Stegra.io as my navigation apps. Does anyone have experience running these on Jolla/Sailfish OS?

And does anyone know whether the Jolla Phone has an IP rating? In other words, is it at least splash/water resistant?

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Does anyone know where to get the 3D model to print a custom case?

The official one seems too expensive to me, and I’ve read a few things about it that I didn't really like.

I wanted to have it 3D printed via a website and use a more durable material.

Discussion cheapest way to try Sailfish OS

hello there! I’d like to try Jolla Sailfish, but I don‘t want to spend all that money for the jolla phone. What is the cheapest way to try the last jolla os? I’ve read that SFOS for xperia IV/V is not fully functional, so I’d like a device fully capable to run SFOS without any issue.

Thank you in advance

Discussion New Jolla Phone - WLAN adapter not available.

Just got my new Jolla batch#1 phone, and damned if I can get the WLAN to work. During the setup the account & internet Connect button does nothing, and within Setting / System / WLAN all I get is "WLAN adapter not available". Tried the privacy switch; no change. Am I just being a wee bit of a moron here or is there something wrong with the device? Thanks in advance.

Discussion Thinking of buying a Jolla smartphone, but I have a lot of questions. I'm hoping you can answer them for me.

I wanted to buy a Jolla smartphone. I saw that a new version is coming out in October:

1- Is it an easily repairable smartphone?

2- Is the manufacturer's support and after-sales service good?

3- Does it allow you to share your internet connection with other devices? (I travel a lot, and this is essential.)

4- Does it allow you to use banking apps or authenticators like Microsoft's without any problems? (I use my phone for work to pay and protect many of my accounts.)

5- Does it support Android Auto?

6- Does it have a charging limiter and bypass charging?

Discussion I'm trying to fork a quickddit for sailfish os but have a problem

My jolla phone 2026 is preparing to arrive on the end of september ii because i got payment link of batch sept-ii and I'm waiting when phone arrived because of this I installed sailfish os sdk and first of all was trying to make a fork of smokku retroarch (failed) and trying to make a Redditnet (a unoffical reddit client), because of this i used quickddit as a base and when I tried to load a newest version of qt-json i encountered a white screen when I using emulator (because of this I learned a how to use a sailfish os inteface quickly without any help) but when I deleted the qt-json folder and loaded the qt-json which quickddit use the app was trying to load but finally closed because of this the webview module is not installed?

Other apps which i plan to create are:

inpostnet a sailfish os app gui of inpost-cli will run inpost-cli in the background for For the Polish parcel locker system

Can you explain why my fork of quickddit crashed when is trying to load because have not installed webview?

OC More premium case for Jolla C2

I wanted a more premium case for my Jolla C2 - I was not happy with the original clear case quality, and on top of all it started to get yellow.

Someone on the Sailfish OS forum suggested that cases from Samsung A05s should fit, and I decided to give it a try. Samsung phones are way more popular and cases for budget models are incredibly widely available for waaay cheaper than original or ones for Reeder S19.
So I went and bought a good-enough looking case on local marketplace.

The case is made from a harder TPU with a hard plastic in the back, so the case is not very stretchy. It is not a 100% perfect fit, but it seems to be good enough to work. Volume buttons, camera cutout and holes for USB and speakers matched perfectly.
However the power button is in a bit different place and the case presses on it all the time. The hole for 3.5 mm jack on top is also missing.

I decided to make the necessary modifications for this case to work as good as it can, and cut the necessary holes using a dremel with diamond bits and diamond files for finish.
The hole for the audio jack was drilled with small diamond bit first, and then with ordinary 7mm drill.
I was honestly surprised how well the TPU was cutting, and I am pretty happy with the results, although I could have done a bit better job with making the cutout for power button.

Hope this will help someone in future.

Discussion Jolla support not responding?

Hi y'all, I've recently moved and have tried contacting Jollas support to get the address fixed for my preorders, but haven't gotten a response from them.

Tried twice at shop@jolla.com and once through their ticket system, first attempt to contact them was over two months ago at this point, last attempt about two weeks ago.

How quickly does their support usually respond? Have I been blind and simply tried contacting them in the wrong spots?

I'm in batch 3 and have preordered three phones, so I really hope I can get some info before they get shipped to the wrong address xD

Discussion Graphene or Sailfish

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get a new phone or should I say a new OS for my phone. I don't really use my phone that much. Only for basic stuff, like mail, bank, 2FA etc. The only social meida that I've installed is Discord for the most interaction.

In my situation, I want to get my privacy back. So I want to use the less from GAFAM as possible. And I want a repairable smartphone, like Fairphone but the fact is there is only e/OS and the more I look for the more I don't trust them that much

So I've checked for some different OS. And there was only 2 or 3 conclusions.

  • Graphene which is the more secure, if I see every comment around it. But I need to get a Google Pixel which isn't repairable (I mean easily because I could check Ifixit to do it).
  • Jolla with Sailfish OS whose look like repairable but I don't find much stuff around the new model. And I would like to see more test before doing anytyhing else. And in my country, I'm somewhat vigilant especially with my banking app that are reported as A3 on the sailfish forum.
  • CalyxOS for Fairphone 6 but needed to wait before doing the migration. The release didn't happen yet and there is no announcement.

So which would you recommend? I'm a bit lost with all the offer even if they are low, they are slighlty different to make me doubt.

Thanks you for your answers.

Got the phone at least and loving it, couple of things I'm wondering

  • keyboard, how can I get numbers at the top of the keyboard? (also predictive texts doesn't seem to be consistent through apps?)
  • is there a way to pin apps or something to the home as to not have to swipe up?

:)

Discussion Video Output or Screen Cast

Hi all

I'm really keen on purchasing a Jolla phone, only thing stopping me is the uncertainty of it supporting USB-C DP Alt Mode.

I'm trying to find a device that I can use as a mobile desktop device, similar to Samsung Dex. Connecting the phone to a display gives you a desktop environment.

Is there a way to replicate this on the new Jolla phone?

Thanks in advance 🙏

Discussion New Jollaphone and screen protector - or is there?

I took the plastic peelable protector away and just today noticed something like air bubble on upper right corner of the display. Is there pre applied additional screen protector on the phone, or is mine self destructing already?

Discussion Jolla phone or Fairphone 6?

Morning,

I understand the responses to this may be biased, considering the sub I am in, but let's see!

I'm looking at getting a new phone. I currently have 3 phones, a mudita kompakt which is my everyday carry, a pixel 4a with lineageOS on for camera, media, gym access, blah blah normal smart phone stuff, and then a full fat android device for banking apps, whatsapp, authentication etc, that stays at home.

This is pissing me off a little. For someone who hates smartphones, I have too many. With the recent release of the framework 13 pro (come on Europe, lets get a modular laptop next please!), I've been spurred into getting, if not a modular phone, at least one that is repairable.

All previous requirements stand, which is basically just "not reliant on American big tech".

So which would you recommend? So far as I see it, the fairphone wins out on environmental credentials and repair-ability, but the jolla wins out on actual no american big tech, and they're user repairable first. I think Jolla has actually been around longer than fairphone, too, so they've got some bloody staying power.

Oh also! The other half is SUCH a cool idea. Good shout thanks for you help I think it's the Jolla phone!
